"Sure, Mel. I'll go grab the blankets." Lucas passed his coat off to Melissa and headed upstairs to grab blankets.

Melissa walked up to the coat closet, hanging them both up. She hummed softly, coming up to the couch, petting Cody.

Lucas soon returned with a bunch of blankets and pillows bundled up in his arms. "Here we are, Mel!"

Melissa looked up at Lucas, smiling. "Alright, awesome." She chirped, getting up off the couch.

Lucas dumped the blankets onto the couch and stretched a bit. "Alright, let's get this going."

"Mm, alright. Where do we start?" Melissa asked, tucking her hair back out of her face, and adjusting her dress.

"Uhm… I'm not really sure." Lucas laughed softly and picked up the pillows.

"Well, this is going great so far." Melissa laughed as well, glancing around the room. "We probably need to build the structure, huh?"

"Mhmm. Um… maybe we could go grab some chairs or something to help with that?" Lucas suggested.

"Probably a good idea." Melissa nodded, walking into the kitchen. Grabbing one of the chairs, she brought it into the living room, setting it down. "We should use the couch, too."

"Mhmm. Then we can set up some stuff underneath all that and get ourselves comfortable…"

"Yup!" Melissa chirped, going and grabbing a second chair. Bringing it back, she set them up so they could start building the fort.

"Thanks, darling." Lucas stretched a blanket out over the chairs and the couch to start making the fort.

Melissa smiled softly, taking the edge of the blanket he wasn't holding. "Of course, love." She hummed softly, attempting to help.

Lucas kissed Melissa softly and started arranging the pillows underneath the blanket fort.

Melissa climbed under the fort with him, humming softly. “I love you~”

"I love you too~" Lucas huddled up with Melissa on the pillows and started showering her with kisses.

Melissa's face flushed immensely when he did. "Luuuu~" She whined, scrunching up her nose.

Lucas snickered a bit as he continued, holding Melissa closer to himself so that she couldn't escape.

"Luuuu…" Melissa whined more, chewing on her lower lip as he continued. "Stooooop~"

"Do you really want me to stop, though~?" Lucas asked softly as he pulled Melissa closer to himself.

"Nooo… but I don't want to just comply to your kisses." Melissa huffed, face flushing more.

"Mmm, makes sense." Lucas nuzzled against Melissa affectionately and kissed her again, seeming quite pleased with himself.

Melissa whined still, curling up closer to him. She wrapped her legs around his, attempting to hide her face from him.

Lucas gently tipped Melissa's chin up so she'd be looking at him. "I love you~" He murmured before kissing Melissa on the lips, lingering for several seconds.

Melissa melted, leaning into his lips before he pulled away. Her face was still pretty red, but she seemed to be relaxing. "I love you, too, darling…"

Lucas smiled gently and lay down on the pillows, pulling Melissa down on top of him. "How's your birthday been?"

"Mm… pretty fantastic…" Melissa whispered, resting her head on his chest. "Besides the rocky morning, of course… the day had been pretty good…"

"Yeah… sorry about almost burning your house down." Lucas laughed weakly. "I should've been paying more attention…"

"I distracted you, Lu… we fell asleep together." Melissa insisted, nuzzling against him. "Don't be so hard on yourself."
