"Of course, Mel." Lucas hummed softly to himself as he ate, seeming content.
"Of course, Mel." Lucas hummed softly to himself as he ate, seeming content.
As they finished up their food, Melissa set her fork aside with a light sigh. "That was pretty good… I'm not sure I could eat anything else."
"Fair enough. We can just pay and go then, yeah?" Lucas slipped some money into the bill when it was brought to him and handed it back to the waiter.
Melissa nodded, getting up and pulling her coat back on when she was on her feet. “To the park, then?”
"Yep!" Lucas got up with Melissa and left with her after putting on his own coat. "Lead the way, darling."
Melissa smiled softly, taking his arm and gently pulling him out the door towards the park. "Mm… I love you."
"Love you too, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek softly and followed her towards the park.
Slowly they walked through the park, fingers laced together as Melissa gently swung their arms back and forth. “I’ve really missed this…” She whispered, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Me too…" Lucas sighed softly and kissed Melissa again. "This is nice."
Melissa kissed him in return, keeping close as they walked. “We should come for evening walks more often…”
"Sure, Mel. Whatever you want." Lucas held a little tighter to Melissa's hand and glanced around as he walked.
Melissa smiles softly, pulling him closer. “Mmm… I know I’ve said it a hundred times, but I really love you..”
"Love you too, Mel." Lucas hugged Melissa close to himself and smiled as well.
Melissa smiles more, nuzzling her face into his shoulder. She wrapped her arms around his waist, kissing his shoulder.
Lucas returned the kiss with a contented hum. "How long do you wanna stay out here, darling?"
“We can start heading in the direction of the house.” Melissa hummed softly, nuzzling against him still.
"Alrighty." Lucas turned a bit and started leading Melissa back towards the house, humming softly as well.
Melissa kept close, sighing contently as they started back towards the house. “Mm… what are we doing when we get back?”
Lucas shrugged a bit. "Whatever you wanna do, Mel. I'm fine to do anything."
“Set up for tonight, maybe? We could build that fort I was talking about…” Melissa whispered, keeping up against him.
"Sure, darling. We can build a nice fort and maybe even stay the night in it if that's what you want."
“Mm… that would be nice. Maybe we could do it down stairs in the living room? Or my bedroom.” Melissa shrugged, humming softly.
"Anywhere is fine with me, Mel. Anywhere you like the best." Lucas kissed Melissa softly again.
“Don’t you have a preference?” Melissa asked softly, looking up at him. “I’m happy to do it anywhere you’d want to.”
"Not really, no. Put it wherever you want to. I can help you build it, darling."
Melissa nodded, nuzzling against him. “Alright… we’d probably have better luck in the living room. We can honestly decide when we get home.”
"Sounds good. Where do y'all keep your extra blankets and pillows and stuff?" He asked.
“Mm, same closet as the games.” Melissa hummed softly, letting him lead them down the street towards her neighborhood.
"Alrighty." Lucas led Melissa along and soon brought her into the house.
Melissa smiles softly, shedding off her coat and folding it in one of her arms. “Can I take your coat?” She asked softly, holding out her other hand.
