"It has been… even if it hasn't been much. I'm honestly just glad you're here." Melissa sighed softly, nuzzling against his cheek.

"Mm~…" Lucas kissed Melissa softly and sighed. "I'm glad to spend time with you, darling."

Melissa smiled softly, kissing him in return. “That’s good to hear… I’d feel bad if you didn’t.” She hummed softly, wrapping his arm around her waist to nuzzle up closer.

"Mhmm~… do you wanna head back now so we can cuddle?" He asked softly.

"Mm, maybe?" Melissa smiled softly, resting her head on his shoulder. "We should probably grab lunch when we get back."

"Yeah, probably. What do you wanna eat, Mel?" Lucas asked, starting to you with Melissa's hair again.

"I don't want to eat anything, but I really don't feel like arguing about it. I'm fine with anything." She shrugged, sighing softly.

"Alrighty… I'll try and make something nice for you, Mel. What's your favorite food?" He asked.

Melissa shrugged, kissing his cheek. "I don't really have one." She mumbled, huddling up closer.

"Mm… anything you don't like that I should avoid?" He asked curiously.

"Ummm…" Melissa trailed off, looking up at him. "I don't think so… I can't think of anything right now."

"Alright…" Lucas sighed softly. "I'll try my best to make something, then…"

"I'm sorry… I wish I could help more." Melissa whispered, gently starting to pull him along again.

"Don't worry about it too much, Mel. I'll figure something out…" Lucas kissed Melissa softly.

Melissa nodded a little, kissing him in return. “I love you.” She whispered, nosing against his cheek.

"I love you too, Mel…" Lucas hugged Melissa close and started heading back home.

Melissa smiled up at him, resting her head on his shoulder. “Thank you, for everything.” She whispered, holding onto him.

"Of course, darling. It's no problem." Lucas smiled back down at her and kept walking until they reached the house.

Melissa nuzzled up against him, kissing his shoulder. “Mmm, can we cuddle for a few minutes before eating?”

"Sure, Mel. Whatever you want." Lucas flopped down on the couch when he got to it and sighed happily.

Melissa curled up next to him, wrapping her arms around him. “I love you…” She whispered, running her fingers through his hair.

"Mmmm~… I love you too, Mel…" Lucas closed his eyes and cuddled closer to Melissa, relaxing at her gentle touch.

"You're the best~" Melissa hummed softly, snuggling up even closer. "I love you, so much…"

"Love you too…" Lucas murmured, happy to just let Melissa hold onto him for the moment.

Melissa buried her face in his chest, holding onto him tightly. She didn't say anything else, enjoying being close to him.

"When are you wanting to have lunch, Mel?" Lucas asked softly.

"Mm… never, but if we have to, in the next couple minutes?" Melissa stated softly, not moving from her spot.

"Sounds good to me…" Lucas yawned a bit and held Melissa closer, seeming content for now.

Melissa looked up at him, keeping her legs wrapped around him. She smiled softly before nuzzling into the crook of his neck.

Lucas flushed a bit and buried his face in Melissa's shoulder. "Mm…" He sighed as he tightened his grip on Melissa.
