"Ah, um… I'm not sure. Probably not? Mine I said, lightning would fry the electronics inside…"
"Ah, um… I'm not sure. Probably not? Mine I said, lightning would fry the electronics inside…"
Matthew nodded a bit.
"I've heard of people training to control how powerful their shocks are, but it takes a lot of work."
"Mhmm… we don't have any magic on earth, so I dunno how it works exactly."
Matthew nodded a bit.
"I don't have much myself," he admitted, "So I only really know what others tell me."
Rowan nodded as well and huddled a little closer to Matthew. "Yeah… electricity is weird."
Matthew nodded.
"And it's not something I have any control over either." He chuckled softly.
"Me either. I'm just a barista." Rowan laughed softly. "I make coffee and that's it."
"Well, I'm sure it's excellent coffee." Matthew smiled, holding Rowan a bit closer.
"Yeah, it's alright. Depends on what people ask me to put in it. Where do you think I could get the ingredients for it here?"
"Well, I'm sure we could find things similar in the city." Matthew hummed a bit, thinking.
"Sounds good to me. If we can't find any, then I guess I'll just have to figure out something else to do…"
"Well, maybe you couldcome up with you're own drinks!" Matthew grinned.
"Maybe." Rowan smiled gently. "I don't think I'm really creative enough."
"I'm sure you could figure something out," Matthew said, smiling.
"True… might need your help, though." Rowan smiled gently up at Matthew.
"I'd be happy to," Matthew said with a grin.
Rowan smiled and huddled a bit closer. "Thanks… how long til we get there?"
Matthew looked around a bit. They'd come across a larger path, merging with it.
"It should just be a couple hours now," Matthew said confidently.
"Sounds good to me." Rowan yawned a bit and sighed softly, adjusting his hold on the nest.
Matthew nodded, smiling. He patted Rowan's back lightly at the yawn, his wings going around them a bit. It was easier to see the sky now, dotted with people flying above them.
Rowan glanced up curiously when he noticed people flying above. It obviously wasn't something he was used to. "Does that mean we're close?"
Matthew looked up as well, nodding.
"Yes. We'll be getting there soon. Perhaps we should say farewell to the horses now?"
"But we're not getting off yet, are we? Why would we have to say goodbye to them?" He asked curiously.
Matthew chuckled softly.
"Well, like I said earlier, we can't have these horses in the city. I was wondering if it would be easier if we started walking now."
"Mm… maybe?" Rowan sighed. "I'm just worried about carrying the nest safely that far."
Matthew nodded.
"Well, I'm sure I could keep the chicks and you safe if I carry you." He smiled softly.
Rowan flushed a bit and considered for a few seconds. "I guess so…" He sighed softly. "I just don't want anything to happen to them."
Matthew ran his hands through Rowan's hair, playing with it a bit.
"We'll make sure they're safe," he promised.
Rowan nodded a bit and leaned into Matthew's hand. "Okay… I guess we can do that now, then."
"Okay, then." Matthew gave a smile. He brought the horses to a stop, getting down. He pulled the bag off the second one, Fluff getting down as well. Matthew rested his forehead on each of the winged horses in turn, thanking them quietly. The horses soon left, and Matthew carried Rowan in his arms as he walked.
