"yes of course I was listening. I just wanted to confirm it." She huffed looking away.
"yes of course I was listening. I just wanted to confirm it." She huffed looking away.
Ignis smiled, "Then….yeah! Hopefully this doesn't burn us out but it certainly is possible."
"well I definitely like the idea of being able to wield fire."
Just as Ignis was about to approach Kali, he fell on the floor in pain. Covering his ears as he let out a loud yelp. Amara slowly fell to the floor, doing the same. "Now is the time of our victory. Bring forth the Demon King. Bring forth the King of Shadows…."
"what the hell is going on?!" She recognized the voice, it was arcanis. "come out and face me you little b**! Stop getting to people through different methods! Come here so I can beat your ass!!" She didn't know what else to do so she just tried to get him to come out, if she beat him it would stop, he would probably laugh at her but she panicked.
Arcanis laughed, "In due time. My Shadows are not far behind…" Ignis and Amara could feel every beat, "He's right! There are hundreds on their way!"
"Well s***!" She ran over to Amara and Ignis and placed a hand on the each of them. She grabbed both stones and shadow traveled far away from the abandon apartment, she made this move out of a fit of panic knowing they probably should fight the shadows but she doubted her ability to fight shadows so much in that moment with and she didn't want to be responsible for the deaths of them or the corruption.
Ignis remained under unknown reasons. He looked up, confused for what happened. He was at least happy to know Kali and Amara were safe. Arcanis walked out from the doorway, holding a black stone, "Good to see you brother. Your Shadows await you…"
She noticed how it didn't transport ignis, she left Amara there with the stones and immediately went back to try and get Ignis or save him. "Stay away from him!" She appeared infront of Ignis, in a protective position in front of him. why isn't shadow travel working?! Why can't I teleport him away?! She could pick him up and ran but that would risk being attacked from behind. She needed to think, at least Amara was a safe enough distance away but she would not leave Ignis behind.
Ignis got up immediately and shot a fireball at Arcanis, pushing Kali away, "Get out." He turned to Kali. Arcanis's eyes flashed purple, but his face showed confusion, "So you have overcome your fears? Interesting…"
She stared Ignis down, "I'm not leaving without you, you idiot."
Ignis turned to Kali for a few moments, "Please… don't do this."
Arcanis laughs, "She doesn't know? The darkness you truly hide?"
"Ignis. We are leaving together, Amara is waiting on you. We aren't leaving you behind." She flipped off arcanis while talking to Ignis. "we need you."
Arcanis laughed, "Ever wonder how your friend knows so much about us? How skilled he is in such magic?" Ignis chucked a fireball at Arcanis, "Shut. Up."
"Arcanis can you just like I don't know, shut up? Because I would gladly sow your mouth shut for you we are trying to talk here okay? So run along now the adults are talking." She turned back to Ignis. "You can tell me later, I don't care how dark your past I don't care what he's talking about I just care that you are alive."
Arcanis moved to Kali immediately and kicked her, the force harmful. He moved quickly, as if he teleported. He then did such again towards Kali and stomped on her back, "Insolent bitch!" The black stone began to puss black smoke as he pointed it at Kali with a firm grip.
His eyes turned completely black as his hands and his arms did also. His fingers grew like claws, his teeth turned sharp. A black aura surrounded him. Ignis could only think of Arcanis as he did Kali's step dad. How furious it made him. He felt himself slip away from his body, feeling as if he were possessed. He was in control, but couldn't help the transformation. Arcanis saw the transformation and smiled. He picked up Kali by the neck and made her see Ignis's terrifying form, "Behold the Demon King! King of Shadows!"
Kali couldn't help but grin, when she was held up by the throat and faced Ignis she mouthed to Ignis. "go ahead and kill him. I'm fine." She thought his transformation was pretty cool, she knew it was still Ignis so it didn't scare her. "you think I wouldn't like that? You really don't know me Arcanis you got some things to learn."
(What did the black stone do?)
Ignis's vision began to change. He could no longer make out which was which as he slipped into an animal state. He began to walk slowly then began to charge. He rammed them both as he dug his claws into both figures. The amount of force he used was almost lethal. Unlike anything they experienced. He picked up the laughing figure, knowing it was Arcanis, "Enjoy bleeding, you bastard! Watch as I rip your ass apart."
(Spoiler: nothing to Ignis. It only kept Ignis from being teleported in any fashion.)
(So it did nothing to Kali either?)
Kali bit down on her lip hard drawing blood as she felt Ignis's claws dig into her ripping her flesh as a bright red stream of blood started to pour out of her skin, but maybe it was for the better that she died here….Amara and Ignis could be happy together and Arcanis got hurt too. She wouldn't hurt them if she wasn't alive. She looked down at her bleeding wound and put a hand over it trying to apply pressure and stop the bleeding. The loss of blood made it hard to think so it made it hard to use her powers, which meant no healing. She continued trying to apply pressure but she was slowly loosing consciousness. Ignis…I don't wanna die…not yet…I still have something to give you… She reached out for him, whispering his name but projecting it so that he heard it like a loud yell in his head.
Something snapped in Ignis as he heard Kali's voice in his head, the yell similar to his mother's. He turned to Kali as his vision repaired. Kali could feel a burning sensation on the wound, it burned like hell. Ignis's eyes turned red as he regained control, Not again… he cycled those words in his head. Arcanis tried to do everything to escape, but to no avail. Ignis kept his gaze on Kali, burning the wound until it bled no more. "I'm sorry….but when I say leave, leave." he smile as he swayed Arcanis back and forth like an idiot, pissing Arcanis off more. Ignis huffed, "I don't say leave unless something not going to go nicely"
Kali screamed in pain from the burning sensation but she could tell her wound was no longer bleeding, or maybe it was and she just couldn't tell from all the excess blood. She managed to spit out a response to him. "I don't give a crap Ignis…If I say I'm not leaving without you I mean I'm not leaving without you. If I die….then oh well." She heaved sitting up and hissing in pain. "kill him then let's go to Amara…"
Ignis smiled, "We could use this asshole for something more….entertaining! Go, use the shadow stone as an amplifier and get the Star Crystal." He winked at kali as he motioned the stone next to her, Arcanis had dropped it when Ignis charged at him.
She grinned at that idea, even if she was in immense pain. She grabbed the stone next to her then summoned the star crystal. "what next ini?"
He motioned Kali to give it to him as Arcanis felt confused at their plan, "A cheap rock? You truly have lost your minds!"
"oh hey look he's finally starting to get it. It's like a little puppy, you wanna little treat puppy?" She taunted Arcanis and gave the stone to Ignis.
Ignis started chanting and the crystal began to glow. To a point, he quickly stabbed Arcanis in the chest, "This was for Amara!" He twists it, "This, is for Kali!" He then burns fire into the crystal as the crystal shatters, "And this, is for me!" the blast was the same as the Spark, fortunately Arcanis wasn't lucky enough to live.
"yaaaaaay we won. I'm tired." She lost a good amount of blood but not enough to become deadly to her health. She was trying to sleep now. She probably wouldn't be able to teleport to anywhere.
When she woke up, Amara was found sitting next to her. Ignis had just came in with a bandage on his arms, his form completely normal, "Motherfucker! She better be glad we have the same blo-" He stopped seeing her awake. Ignis seemed…different, more mature in a sense, "Well…" Ignis awkwardly walked out of the room.
