"not killing someone dosent make you innocent." she scooted a little bit closer to him. "i almost killed the lightning elemental, i should have. I hesitated and told them to give up leaving me vulnerable, they attacked me anyway. besides i know in the past you killed. you regret it and hate that you did, you learn from it everyday…me on the other hand…" she sighed, before hearing him. "I-im happy to be called your family too…." she covered her face with her hands.
Alister cast a concerned glance at Ignis going after Kali before turning to Amara. “Um, sure, glad to help.” He rubbed Noel’s shoulder before parting and going into the kitchen.
As he collected the plates and silverware, he thought about what had happened a few minutes before. He didn’t mean to hurt Kali, but he was mostly focused on Noel at that moment. And considering her actions, she might be less ignorant than he thought. The way she went quiet after she noticed them flinch at the word brat, and when he’d called her rude and invasive. She must be feeling immense guilt right now. Perhaps she’d gone through something similar…?
He found himself looking at the plates he was setting on the table. They were china, with crocuses and lilies painted around the rim. Alister licked his lips.
“You have pretty-looking plates, ma’am,” he said to Amara.
Ignis smiled and rubbed his eyes. His voice cracked when he talked, "Where the hell are you? It'd be nice to talk to you face to face." He almost cried. He could tell how much she felt.
"Ugh, please don't call me ma'am," Amara smiled and chuckled, "Besides, I think you'll find my cooking more enjoyable than a few plates."
she scouted closer to him letting out a dry laugh, "i look but terrible but okay i guess." she smiled a little bit even though her voice cracked as well from hearing his voice crack. she tapped his shoulder and moved a little bit in front of him but mostly next to him. Most of it dried, however the streak of blood going down from her forehead to her chin, wasn't normal red blood. it had turned black, like pitch black. the room had lightened up a little bit so it was easier to see.
Ignis noticed the blood but didn't care for the time being. He just hugged her on the side in a comforting position. Ignis produced a warm heat as he slowly began to heal her with letting her feel the burning, "What are looks anyway? I've looked worse myself."
"As if you have, i be you always look good even if you were beaten bruised bloody and your hair was messed up." she leaned into him a little bit, hugging him back slightly. she was enjoying the warm heat he was producing lol. she felt the burning slowly heal her and she looked down at her knuckles, bruised bloody…with..black blood?……she touched her forehead and looked at her finger, black blood…
"hey ignis, have you ever heard of black blood?" she smeared it on her pants leaning into him.
Ignis glanced at the blood, "Natural black blood? No. There is mention with several curses, but you're too healthy for any of it to be true." Ignis placed his head slightly on hers. Not wanting to let go. Kali seemed distracted by the blood, but Ignis was lost in memories and emotions. When the healing finished, he created a flaming rose, solidified into crystal. The crystal still glowed and flickered, as if fire still remained. He handed it to Kali, "Never knew how this worked, but a simple trick nonetheless."
she never thought that this might be possible, they were up close and leaning against each other. it made her face tint pink a little bit at how close they were, she tried to focus on the black blood. 'it was normalred blood when it first came out…"she muttered, she saw the flaming rose turn to crystal, he hand her the rose and she took and was careful with it admiring its beauty. "I think its a really nice trick, its beautiful really."
(its a simple spell but quite unbreakable, then i will rip it off your corpse!)
“Oh, okay Amara.” Alister smiled, willing himself to not think about Kali. “Yes, it already smells wonderful.”
“You can say that again.” Noel had wandered into the kitchen, her eyes wide and curious again. “I didn’t realize how hungry I was before now, haha.”
"Well help yourself," Amara rubs her hands on a rag, "I'm going to go get Ignis and Kali."
Ignis closed his eyes and even smiled, admiring the peace. His eyes turned gold, Ignis, be careful. Your elementals are being watched. Ignis flinches slightly, his eyes returning to normal.
Kali was relaxed as she could be, learn against him smiling slightly, she set her hand down he one with the rose in it near his. she sighed relax deciding to close her eyes if only for a moment.
“Okay, thanks again!” Alister said as Noel sat down and dived for the mac n’ cheese. He turned to her. “Remember to save some for the others, alright?”
“Okay,” as she lifted her spoon to take a bite, she stopped. “Ali… did you feel that?”
He moved closer to her. “Yeah…”
A strange ripple had gone through the air. A strong feeling of being watched filled the two siblings. Then as soon as it had appeared, it vanished.
“Weird…” Noel’s stormy eyes flashed around the room, then they settled on her brother, as if remembering something. “Hey, can we talk about dad?”
Alister tried to eat some fruit, but an uneasiness had settled in his stomach. “I- no, not right now. Later, okay?”
“Okay.” She took a bite of mac n’ cheese.
kros sat guard in the same room with kids, keeping a look out for all possible entries.
Ignis lifted his head as he too felt a sense of unease, "Perhaps we should eat, maybe it'll make us feel better." He said. As Ignis got up, Amara came through the door, "Oh well, good. It's ready and everything."

(thx. so where is everybody? i got kinda lost rereading the story)
(They are in an apartment building owned by Ignis, the fire elemental. They recently became aware that they are being watched by an unknown source.)
(okay) hiro moved along the road. he had been walking for hours, his feet hurt and he only had about two hundred dollars from his last paycheck left. only a few miles away had hiro seen what looked like either an apartment building or rather a hotel just a few feet ahead. once hiro had gotten there he looked for the office.
Ignis walked out of the room as he heard someone in the lobby. Igni made his way to the lobby when he noticed a man standing there, an unfamiliar person, "Excuse me sir, may I help you?"
"uh, yeah. do you have any cheep rooms for rent?"
"No." Ignis glared, "This building became out of service two years ago. However you're welcome to stay for as long as you need."
" thanks" he said to the man " so ima assume the rooms are upstairs." hiro said walking up stairs, as hiro walked through the building the hairs on his neck stood up " somethings not right about this place.." he said to himself.
"food does help from time to time." She got up as well opening her eyes and getting up from the ground, seeing Amara peering in on them. "glad foods ready because I'm hungry." She stretched shoving her hands in her pockets. (response to earlier)
your just letting him in? He could be a bad guy in disguise you know. Kali sent it to Ignis seeing the man walk around on the lower levels. She grabbed a plate putting food on it and taking a bite. She walked over to the table and sat down giving Kris some pets.
