Melissa hummed softly, still nuzzling against him. "Am I bugging you?" She asked softly, fingers just barely brushing against his skin.

"I-I'm okay, Mel…" Lucas replied nervously, holding a bit tighter to Melissa. "I… uhm… I love you…"

"I love you, too…" She whispered, starting to rub circles into his back. She enjoyed the feel of his skin against hers, trying to relax him again.

Lucas clung tight to Melissa, still very flustered as she continued. "Mm…"

Sighing softly, Melissa leaned back against the couch in attempt to relax as well. She quietly still rubbed his back, fingering every detail of his upper torso.

"M-Melissa, can you… uhm… n-not do that, please?" Lucas asked in a shaky whisper. His face was very red and this was getting to be too much for him.

Melissa stopped immediately, taking her hand off of him. She pulled back enough to look at him, giving an apologetic look. "I'm so sorry, I didn't think it was bothering you." She whispered.

"Don't be sorry! Please, I-I really don't mean anything by it, I'm just getting really flustered and I can't really control that and it's not your fault and really I-I'm the one who should be sorry…" Lucas rambled on, clearly nervous.

Melissa gave him a soft look, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "Hey, relax. I understand, that's why I'm apologizing. I would have stopped sooner if I had known how flustered I was making you."

Lucas nodded weakly and sighed, burying his red face in Melissa's shoulder. "M'sorry, Melissa…" He whispered.

"It's fine, love." Melissa hummed softly, playing with his hair again. "Next time, tell me if you're getting uncomfortable. You don't have to wait until you can't handle it."

Lucas nodded weakly. "R-Right, uhm… sorry, I just… didn't want to make it awkward… or upset you. Pretty sure I still did that, though…"

"Not at all, love." Melissa insisted, playing with his hair still. "I promise. You didn't upset me, not at all."

"Mmkay… are you sure…?" Lucas asked softly, holding a little bit tighter to Melissa.

"Of course I'm sure, darling." Melissa insisted, nosing against him. "I love you, and am glad you at least told me to stop."

"Mm… I love you too…" Lucas sighed. "I'm still sorry for… you know… being a wuss, I dunno…"

"You're not being a wuss for being flustered. I took things a little too far for your liking." Melissa shrugged, burying her face in his shoulder. "The same thing happened with me the other day, remember?"

"Mm… I guess so…" Lucas sighed and held Melissa closer. "I love you… and sorry… in general…"

"What for?" Melissa asked softly, twisting his hair around her finger. "Because you really don't need to be sorry."

"I just… I dunno… I just feel sorry, okay? Even if I don't really know why…" Lucas sighed softly.

Melissa nodded, growing quiet. She didn’t say anything else, continuing to play with his hair. She fiddled with it quietly not doing anything else for a while.

"Mm…" Lucas finally managed to relax again under Melissa's gentle touch, glad that she wasn't getting too close anymore."

Melissa continually did so, resting her chin on his shoulder. She sighed weakly, slowly pulling her hand away from his hair after a while.

Lucas glanced up when Melissa stopped petting him. "Do you wanna get up now…?" He asked softly.

Melissa shrugged, giving him a gentle look. “Maybe. I dunno.” She shrugged again, playing with a loose strand of her hair.

"It's fine if you do, I'd just have to get off of you." Lucas laughed softly.

Melissa forced a weak smile, nodding just a little. “Yeah, um… it’s probably getting kind of late.” She mumbled, resting a hand on his chest.

"Mm… yeah…" Lucas kissed Melissa softly and sighed. "We should probably get ready for bed."

Melissa nodded, kissing him in return. “Yeah, probably.” She sighed weakly, pushing herself into a sitting position.

Lucas reluctantly moved back off of Melissa and ran his fingers through his hair. "I… uhm… I love you, Mel." He kissed her cheek softly before getting up.
