@ElderGod-Icefire
How and why is that even a fucking thing??
How and why is that even a fucking thing??
ha ha yeah cause an occupation often feared and above any repercussions totally equates to a race that is constantly maltreated and marginalized
My brother just tried to charge me 30,000% interest on a penny I borrowed for 5 minutes to measure
ehjfeherg that's good fucking business
It absolutely is not
He's like Tom Nook
or Nami
tom nook is a perfectly good business man, because business men do not have a realistic view of money and simply wish to gain more
(being rude to brain and emotions today)
hi brain,
(and emotions)
could you not tell me that i might bother my v gud fren if i dm them just cause i wanna talkkkkkk?
cause
i know that they won't be bothereddd
but there's this smol smol voice inside my head that whispers "what if you're bothering them?"
It's legitimately disgusting that some straight men's reaction to even the possibility of being sexualized is "idk man I just stabbed him a bunch of times". Like FUCK, how do you think women feel all the time???
I would echo your sentiment if I understood what you were saying.
I'd like to be rude to my power company
They're liars
They are liars. All power people are.
being rude to my pe teacher today
our principal literally wrote up a letter to all the kids at our hs sayingthat having camera on wasn't required but then OUR PE TEACHER
"yOU mUsT hAvE cAMerA oN oR eLsE yOU aRe NoT hEre"
Hi I'd like to be rude to the Trump Administration
I'd like to be rude to my blue lives matter mother, so please explain y'all's stuff because all I ever hear is "cops are there to p r o t e c t you what are you gonna do when they're gone" even though they're clearly having a problem doing their jobs :)
It's really awkward tho like she doesn't have a problem with any minorities? The occasional joke that makes everyone uncomfy but at this point I just Pretend I Do Not See, she's never like…ehh idk. Her thing is that she sees cops as "risking their lives for us" and won't hear a word against police or the military
tbh I used to be a blue lives matter, but that was back when i only had experience with my hometown. The cops there were really good and kind, not to mention very diverse. After one of the first police brutality events that made it to the news a long time ago, several of the nice cops houses and families were attacked by people. We learned after they were arrested that they were mostly aggravators from out of town trying to stir shit up, but still.
Now I know that phrase is harmful and belongs to people who are usually racist. I still respect the police in my town, and I think they did a pretty good job protecting the local protesters over the summer while dispersing the "raiders" who came in to loot and try to rile up everything. But those dumbass racist cops who are in it for a powertrip? Put em to a trial by fire and get someone who knows what they're doing to rework the system to make it work properly. On that note fix the privatized prison system and the school-prison pipeline as well, cause that shit is f'ed up.
I think it's funny when the same people who talk up all the protection we get from cops in the "what will you do if someone breaks into your house" scenario will turn around to the gun control argument and say "if you don't have a gun what're you gunna do when someone breaks into your house and threatens to kill you". Like pick one. Oh you don't wanna defend the police? Oh you think that'll mean there'll be no one there to protect you? Good thing you have your trusty gun. Stop complaining.
Owen your new pfp threw me off but it's hella cute!
Guys I can't stop laughing
I was supposed to bring my lunch today
I forgot
Welp, guess who's eating a lot for dinner lmao

I think it's valid. Good police are necessary. But a lot of people realize the police can't (or sometimes won't) come until it's too late. There4 (okay that's funny), both arguments can stand.
hey dom, what are your thoughts on the idea of taking away the responsibilities of the police force that include things like abuse cases, drug abuse, csa, etc?
to go in depth here: the police have way too much on their plate. and a lot of it is stuff they don't train you for. the police academy doesn't train you to be a cps agent, or a marriage counsellor, or a therapist. the police are trained to deal with violence(we're talking on a broad spectrum here, not talking about the officers who incite violence and murder) and high stakes situations that need someone with a gun to go in. half of them aren't trained in resolving and lowering tensions, something that's needed in certain areas
the police do have their uses, i'm not going to lie and say they don't. but they're also being pushed to deal with so many things they shouldn't even be called for. something like a serial killer deserves the attention of a police force, not a kid caught selling weed at school. a case like that needs the attention of someone who specifically works with children, who will look to the root of the issue instead of arresting them–which is usually all the police can do.
a lot of people are suggesting that we take the insane police budget and transfer it to other services that should work hand in hand with the police, or have their own sort of branches.
I'd like to be rude to my blue lives matter mother, so please explain y'all's stuff because all I ever hear is "cops are there to p r o t e c t you what are you gonna do when they're gone" even though they're clearly having a problem doing their jobs :)

Sigh
Whether or not police lives actually do matter, saying "blue lives matter" is supporting an inherently flawed and corrupt system and regardless of intent behind it, it's (is appropriating the right word here?) taking a very important racial issue, twisting it, and slapping it in the face of the oppressed, ignoring, invalidating, and poking fun at the blatant racism in our society sorry but I'mma make a snap judgement on your mom and say I don't really like her

not to mention your career isn't a race lmao. what country are cops from again? what continent??

^^^^^ And sometimes they're made to feel like they can't ask for help so instead of bringing in the fbi or other police for help with small town murder investigations they just make shit up without regard to the consequences of their stupidity and it makes me very angry

Haven't you heard? They're all from a large island near Hawaii, it's called Coplandia. The ignorance of today's youth. Smh

I don't know enough to give a very good answer. But I would say either that or train officers in deescalation. Not sure I spelled that right. But perhaps that is too much. All I can say is I want police to have to be voter approved. Might solve a good many issues.
Sigh

Idk about that.
All I can say is I want police to have to be voter approved. Might solve a good many issues.
So more like sheriffs? I think sheriffs are voter-approved.
Sigh
Whether or not police lives actually do matter, saying "blue lives matter" is supporting an inherently flawed and corrupt systemIdk about that.
the system is inherently flawed and corrupt lmao. the police have been corrupt for however long they've been in existence. it goes from the mob corruption in the force in the 50s-80s, to the fact that anyone who has enough money, or enough social standing, can get away with anything.
brooklyn 99 did a really good episode on it, in which a man who was high up in the force not so discreetly threatened peralta, who had arrested his son on vandalism charges.
it's in the way things come to light about officers being payed off by politicians, it's that every time a celebrity gets arrested it gets so glossed over. the system itself is a huge mess and needs reform.
All I can say is I want police to have to be voter approved. Might solve a good many issues.

Yeah.

what a sexy answer. also i think you did but there might be a lil dash there?
but yes! they absolutely should be! train police in de-escalation and make it so they're not so over worked by cases they aren't trained to take and that they shouldn't have any say in. do both. why not. literally there's nothing wrong with doing both and then everyone wins
