Melissa looked up at Lucas after a little bit, studying his face. She smiled rather fondly as she sat there with him. “We could go exploring through the forest if you want.” She offered in a soft tone.
Melissa looked up at Lucas after a little bit, studying his face. She smiled rather fondly as she sat there with him. “We could go exploring through the forest if you want.” She offered in a soft tone.
"Sure, if you want to… maybe we can just stay here a little while longer, though…"
“Yeah, of course… I just don’t want to freeze.” Melissa shrugged, curling back up with him. “We can stay for a while longer, it’s just cold on the ground.”
"Mm… you're welcome to move around if you'd like to." Lucas shrugged a bit. "I'm alright for now."
"I'll be fine. I'm just saying in a little bit." Melissa mumbled, sighing weakly.
Lucas nodded and huddled a little closer to Melissa. He was cold as well, but he was willing to ignore it.
Melissa leaned into his arms, head resting against his shoulder. "I'm sorry if I seem… standoffish, I guess. I really don't know what's wrong with me…"
"It's fine, Mel… just relax. Don't worry so much." Lucas smiled weakly. "It's lovely outside, even though it's cold."
"I- right…" Melissa whispered, sighing once again. Quietly she picked at her jeans, occasionally glancing around the area.
After a few minutes Lucas sighed and reluctantly got to his feet. "Ready to go exploring?"
Melissa looked up at him, shrugging a little. “If you’re ready, I guess so.”
Lucas smiled softly and started pulling Melissa along, soon coming up to the waterfall.
Melissa had a ghost of a smile pull up, following along behind him quietly. She kept a hold on his hand as they walked, looking around with a low hum.
"It's so pretty out here, don't you think?" Lucas asked gently. "I love this place…"
“Mhmm… it’s peaceful.” Melissa whispered, still looking around the surrounding area. “Especially with the snow.”
"Yeah… it's been ages since it's snowed last. It's always so pretty, don't you think?" Lucas softly kissed Melissa's cheek.
Melissa nodded, glancing over to him at the kiss. She gave him a weak smile, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Almost as pretty as you~" Lucas kissed Melissa again when she turned towards him and hugged her tightly.
Melissa’s face flushed more than it already was from the cold. “Luuuu…” She whined softly, burying her face in his shoulder.
Lucas grinned as he nuzzled into Melissa's hair. "Whaaaat~?"
Melissa kept her face hidden in his shoulder, holding on tightly. She didn’t say anything, only letting a slight whine out.
Lucas snickered a bit as he pulled Melissa close. "Oh c'mon. You know I had to."
“I did,” Melissa mumbled her agreement, keeping her face hidden. “And I’m annoyed I let myself walk into it.”
Lucas grinned a bit more as he hugged Melissa. "Come, now. Don't be annoyed. That's no fun."
Melissa sighed weakly, keeping her head on his shoulder. “Mmm, fine….” She looked up at him, giving him a small smile.
"There you go~" Lucas kissed her again, still grinning. "What do you wanna go see now?"
Melissa shrugged in response, leaning into his arms. “I don’t really care. What about you?” She asked softly.
"Mm… honestly, I'm fine to go back to the clearing. It's too slick to try and climb this thing."
“You’re definitely not climbing it with your arm in that condition.” Melissa insisted, slowly pulling him back to the clearing.
"I know, I know. I wasn't gonna." Lucas followed Melissa back, humming softly to himself.
