"It could be months… maybe even years." Melissa continued, pursing her lips before letting out a soft sigh. "I might become a professional skater, since you said I would look good in the costume."
"It could be months… maybe even years." Melissa continued, pursing her lips before letting out a soft sigh. "I might become a professional skater, since you said I would look good in the costume."
"Mm…" Lucas rested his head on Melissa's shoulder again as he doodled, smiling gently to himself as he did so.
Melissa snickered softly to herself, kissing the top of his head. "I told you that you don't pay attention when you draw." She hummed, resting her head against his.
"Hmm?" Lucas glanced up at the kiss. "Did you say something?" He asked. He returned the kiss and smiled gently up at Melissa.
"Mm, quite a lot actually." Melissa hummed, giving him a soft smile. "But don't worry about it, it wasn't important anyways."
"You sure? Sorry, I was distracted…" Lucas laughed softly, glancing down at his sketchbook.
"I'm sure. You don't have to apologize, I know how distracted you get." Melissa hummed as she curled up closer. "It wasn't anything important."
"Alright…" Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek softly and started drawing again. "I love you~"
Melissa returned the kiss, resting her chin on his shoulder. "I love you, too… you're pretty spectacular."
Lucas zoned out again soon after, humming contentedly to himself while he doodled. He left his head on Melissa's shoulder, smiling gently.
Melissa smiled weakly as he continued to fill out the page on the sketch-book. The longer she watched the pencil run across the page, the heavier her eyes seemed to grow. She knew she shouldn't but she was really close to falling asleep.
Lucas was too focused to fall asleep, although he was obviously tired. He didn't seem to notice Melissa dozing off either.
Melissa seemed to grow limp after a while, head resting against his. She was breathing softly in her sleep, lulled by the sound of silence.
Lucas glanced over at Melissa when she noticed she was sleeping and flipped the page of his sketchbook. He started sketching her instead, a soft smile on his face.
Melissa had a soft look on her face, seeming to be in a rather light sleep. She didn't move or flinch at his adjustment, happily leaning up against him.
Lucas soon finished the sketch of Melissa and yawned, setting his sketchbook aside. He carried Melissa up to her room before heading back down to the couch to sleep.
Melissa slept for the rest of the day, waking up pretty early the next day. She yawned, and rubbed at her eyes, stopping when she realized she was in her room. When had that happened? Hesitantly she got up out of her bed, quickly pulling on different clothes. She was quiet as she made her way down the stairs after changing and washing her face, trying to figure out where Lucas was.
Lucas was still asleep when Melissa came downstairs, curled up on the couch with Cody in his arms.
Melissa pulled on the sleeves of the hoodie she had on, smiling softly. The ends of them hung over her finger tips as she made her way over to him on the couch. Quietly she sat on the floor so she could run her fingers through his hair.
Lucas smiled gently in his sleep and leaned into Melissa's hand. Soon, he yawned and opened his eyes to look up at Melissa.
Melissa gave a weak smile, waving a little to him. "Hey, Lu. How'd you sleep?"
"Pretty alright… what about you?" Lucas asked softly.
Melissa shrugged, kissing his lips. "Alright. Though I probably shouldn't have gone to sleep so early." She hummed, resting her head on the couch.
"Mm… don't worry about it." Lucas softly returned the kiss, pulling Melissa down to keep her close.
Melissa gave him a soft smile, nosing up against him. "Mmm, I'm not really worried about it… oh! I had something I've been meaning to tell- or um… show you. I keep forgetting though."
"Oh?" Lucas looked up at Melissa curiously. "What do you wanna show me?" He asked.
"Mm, it's upstairs." Melissa hummed, getting up off the floor. She gave him a tired, but bright smile, holding her hand out to him.
"Alrighty." Lucas took Melissa's hand and started following her, getting a little bit nervous.
Melissa stopped in the hall, her smile picking up a little. "I know that my Christmas present to you was a little… I don't really know what to call it, but it wasn't much. And, um, well…" She pulled him over to Gabriel's bedroom door, still keeping her eyes glued to him. "Gabriel moved out officially after Christmas, and we had an empty room. So I talked to my dad, and he… he said you could have it if you wanted."
Lucas smiled gently at Melissa. "Well, your Christmas present was great, but then you… I'd love to sleep in here if I'm allowed." He pulled Melissa closer so he could kiss her.
