Melissa nodded some, reaching out for his free hand. “Alright, well… I guess we should head out?”
Melissa nodded some, reaching out for his free hand. “Alright, well… I guess we should head out?”
"Yep! Let's head on back, then." Lucas took Melissa's hand and headed out the door after returning their skates.
When they were on the way back to her house, she pulled his arm over her shoulders to lean into him. "Mmm… I love you…"
"Love you too, Mel." Lucas hugged Melissa and kissed her cheek. "You're the best."
Melissa smiled softly, kissing him in return. "Mm, I would disagree, but I don't want to argue with you right now."
"Me either." Lucas nuzzled against Melissa's cheek affectionately and pulled her closer. "We're almost back home.
Melissa giggled softly, leaning over into him. "Mm, good… we can cuddle then~"
"Mhmm!" Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek and kept going, soon nearing the house.
"Mmm, our snowman is still standing." Melissa hummed when they got even closer to the house.
Lucas smiled at that and led Melissa inside. "Mhmm. What do you want to do while we cuddle?"
"Dunno… you could draw, or we can talk. I don't really care." Melissa shrugged, kissing his cheek softly.
"We could do both, theoretically. I can usually multitask well enough…" Lucas returned the kiss and set Melissa on the couch.
“Mm, but you normally get pretty distracted when you’re drawing.” Melissa hummed, curling up a little. Gently she patted the spot next to her. “I really don’t care what we do.”
Lucas shrugged a bit and pulled his sketchbook out of his bag before sitting beside Melissa on the couch. "Me either."
Melissa smiled softly, curling up next to him. “Mm, alright… how can I sit so I’m not in your way?”
"You can sit how you want, Mel. Any ideas on what you want me to draw?" He asked as he flipped open his sketchbook.
Melissa shrugged, resting her head on his shoulder. “Umm… I’m really drawing a blank, Lu. I dunno.” She mumbled, nosing against him.
"Mm… pun intended?" Lucas laughed softly. "Uhm… I'll just do some flowers, I guess." Lucas started doodling some sunflowers.
Melissa looked up at him, laughing softly. “Not really, but let’s pretend I meant it.” She hummed, as she nosed against his shoulder with a soft sigh.
Lucas rested his head against Melissa's as he doodled idly, humming softly to himself. He didn't speak anymore, just allowing himself to get absorbed into the drawing.
Melissa watched with a content smile, resting her hand on his upper arm. Gently she ran her thumb over his skin, happy to cuddle up while he drew. She didn’t really feel like talking anyways.
Lucas doodled for a while, carefully sketching details into his sunflowers. He seemed to be pretty good at those in particular, which wasn't surprising considering how often he drew them over other flowers.
Melissa smiled softly, still gently running her thumb along his arm. “They look pretty…” She whispered keeping her eyes to the paper.
"Mm…" Lucas kept drawing, hardly seeming to hear Melissa. He was pretty focused on the drawing at this point.
Melissa glanced up to him when she didn't get a response, smiling softly. "You're pretty cute, honestly…" She hummed, taking advantage of his busy mind.
"Mm." Lucas kept drawing, shifting slightly to be more comfortable. The fact that he wasn't blushing made it pretty obvious that he was very spaced out.
Melissa snickered softly, continuing to gently trace him. Why not make a game out of it? After a couple minutes she piped up again. "I've decided I want to move to Canada." She mumbled, sounding pretty casual.
Lucas just nodded idly as he drew, yawning a bit before starting to hum. He started darkening the shadows of the sunflowers, seeming pretty content for now.
"Yeah, I'm going by myself. I probably won't see you for a while." Melissa shrugged, still smiling softly as she spoke.
"Mhmm…" Lucas tilted his head a little as he drew a long line on the paper. He sketched out some messy grass beneath the sunflowers.
