"I uhm, I get that." Bennet sighed softly, "I just, I want you to know that I care about you, a lot." He said with a smile.
"I uhm, I get that." Bennet sighed softly, "I just, I want you to know that I care about you, a lot." He said with a smile.
He smiled again. “I care about you too.” He got a little nervous but knew he needed to ask. “So do we want to try this…try being together?” He looked up at him sheepishly.
"I uhm," He remembered the time spent with Ashton, did that mean as much to him? It was nice, but he knew that it didn't mean a thing to either of them. His wings fluttered happily, "Yes."
His smile widened and he leaned forward, hugging Bennet tightly. “Thank you” he whispered, feeling happier than he had felt in awhile.
Bennet hugged him back, but his mind wasn't focused on the moment. 'What if I get in trouble for this? What if. . .' Then he quickly brought himself to reality, he should be happy, he really did care for this guy, a lot more than Ashton, although they had something else, this was special and he wanted to see Connor happy, and loved.
After a few more seconds of hugging Bennet he pulled away, the smile still lingering on his face. He was trying to take things a little slow, not wanting to do anything that would make Bennet uncomfortable.
He pulled back and sighed with contentment. His wings, which had been laying flat against his back fluttered a bit, lifting him off the ground. "Uhm, Connor, I just have one question, or a request. Could you, maybe not mention this, or us to well, Alec? I'm pretty sure he wants me dead, which well, I'd like to live until I'm at least 1,000? Maybe a little bit longer, but I don't think that'll happen if he gets near me."
“If it would make you feel unsafe then I won’t tell him. But the two of them will probably get suspicious after awhile, they’re both very observant. However..they’re pretty okay for demons, so I don’t think Alec is going to murder you or anything. He only really kills people that he believes deserves it, so you’re safe. But yeah, I still get why you’d be uneasy.”
"Well, I mean, I'm sort of terrified of him. I mean. . .gosh, when I got lost the other day, he just grabbed me and tried to drag me over to you saying that I had followed you there. That scared the living heck out of me." Bennet said with a sigh, "I mean, if he well, finds about well." He motioned to the wings and halo, "Then I'll be dead."
“To be fair I just assumed you were following me too, after he told me that is.” He sighed. “Yeah I don’t know what he’d do if he found out you were an angel.”
Bennet chuckled a little bit, trying to hide the fact that he had followed him, "Yep, I mean, I probably would've thought the same too, but I realy wasn't following you. " His wings folded down and he sat down next to Connor, "I think we both know what he would do."
((I lowkey think it would sort of be funny if Alec and his sister or maybe boyfriend came over))
((Low key we should))
“Well I’m glad you weren’t following me..” he mumbled, leaning his head on Bennet’s shoulder. “And I don’t know if he’d actually kill you kill you. Anyway, even if he did, you’d probably be reborn after awhile. But I’d miss you..”
((Would you like me to play him?))
Bennet smirked, rolling his eyes a little bit, "Hhmph, pretty sure he would." He slipped his arm around Connor's shoulders and pulled him closer, "I'm pretty sure I'd miss you more though, if I had feelings at that point."
((It’s okay I got it. We want them to just show up?))
He smiled, kissing Bennet’s cheek. “Good, I’d be a little upset if you‘d remember me and didn’t miss me.” He chuckled softly.
((Yeah, I guess that'd work))
Bennet blushed slightly, "I, uhm, me too." He was still an awkward idiot and it was oh so obvious, "Soooo, what do you want to do now? I mean, we could just hang out and watch some TV or we could just uhm go out?"
He smiled softly at Bennet’s blush. “I’m really up for whatever. Is there anything in particular that you want to do?” He hummed out quietly.
Bennet shrugged, "Not in parti. . ." He was about to finish his sentence when the door bell rang. He turned toConnor, looking slightly confused, "I'll get it?" He stood up slowly and walked over to the door his wings folding and then disappearing. He looked through the peephole and his face began to pale, "Connor, uhm Alec's here. Did you invite him over?"
He sighed. “No I did not. He tends to invite himself. But if we don’t let him in, he’ll just break in. It’ll be fine, I’ll try and make sure he doesn’t stay for too long.” He reassured.
Bennet nodded and opened the door, "Oh, uhm, hi!" He tried to behave like his old bubbly self again, and not act too stressed out around Alec, "You must be Alec, Connor's friend, he's talked about you a little bit, all good things though." He smiled up at the taller guy, hoping that his words were convivcing, "Do you want to come in? Connor's in the living room if you want to talk to him."
“Thanks.” Alec said, not necessarily sounding sincere, making his way inside. “Connor the midget wanted to ask you a question.” Someone else, apparently said ‘midget’ was behind Alec, revealed as Alec stepped inside.
“Alec I’m not a midget!” He exclaimed in exasperation, his cheeks puffing out as he pouted. But the guy wasn’t necessarily tall either, he seemed to be almost a full foot shorter than Alec, with light brown hair and two different colored eyes, one green and one blue.
“Mhm, sure thing darling.” Alec replied. “Bennet, this is my boyfriend Emile, Emile this is Bennet.”
Emile smiled widely, sticking out a hand for Bennet to shake. “Nice to meet you!”
Bennet moved back away from the other two men and was standing behind Connor, his hands resting on the couch. "Oh, okay?" He mumbled warily as he listened to the two banter. He glanced down at Connor a slightly confused look on his face, then he turned his attention back to Emile. He awkwardly sticks his hand out for the other boy to shake, "Uhm, likewise. Would you like anything to drink or something? " His brain started to go into autopilot -which was just him being super polite-, and the first thing he could think of doing was serving them food or something, "I don't mind at all, I mean, if not. . ." He trailed off awkwardly, noting the pointed look of -no it wasn't anger, maybe annoyance, not even that, just something- from Alec, "Uhm, okay."
“No that’s okay but thank you so much.” Emile replied politely, the smile still on his face. He seemed rather nice and normal for someone involved with Alec, especially for someone that’s dating Alec. He walked in, going over to Alec’s side and poking him in the stomach. “And you, stop being a butthead!” He glared at him. “Anyway Connor I wanted to ask you about this one art technique that I’m trying to do. I can’t remember what it’s called and I was wondering if you knew.” Emile and Connor continued to talk, the two of them seeming perfectly comfortable around each other. Alec stayed silent, his arms wrapped Emile, and his head rested on top of his boyfriend’s.
Bennet felt pretty uncomfortable staying around, so he started to move back towards his room. He glanced over at Connor, as if asking for an okay, then walked into his room and closed the door. Hhm, Alec actually seems like a normal person, maybe I was wrong about him? Then he remembered that glaring smirk Alec had given him the night he had followed Connor there. He shuddered, still getting chills about that night, Nevermind, Emile might be normal, but Alec is no where near. Bennet pulled out his phone and began scrolling through notifications when he saw he had multiple texts from Ashton, "Oh shit. . ." He mumbled under his breath, as he began to read it, "I'm in trouble. . ."
It was maybe only 10 more minutes before the sounds of talking from the living room were gone. Connor knocked on Bennet’s door softly. “Hey they’re gone, can I come in?”
Bennet stuffed his phone under his pillow, "Yeah, come on in." He turned on one of his many lamps to provide a little bit of light and smiled at Connor, "You seem like you had a nice talk wth Emile, he seems sweet." He rolled over so that he would be semi-sitting up, "And Alec, mainly just gave me the stink eye, so I'm okay, I guess."
“Yeah, Emile’s an artist too. He’s pretty nice, especially considering he sold his soul to Alec or whatever. Alec’s just being an ass because he doesn’t trust you, and because that’s just how he is. You kinda get used to it.” He said, staying leaned against the doorframe.
"Oof, sounds like a lot of trouble to be in a relationship with someone." He said jokingly, hopefully not offending Connor, "It's okay, I don't mind." He motioned for Connor to come in his room, "You don't have to stand outside, you know, it's not like I'll kick you out or something, I'm not that much of a jerk."
“Yeah they were both super young and naive and stuff. Surprisingly, the whole selling the soul thing was actually Emile’s idea. But anyway, that’s besides the point.” He walked into the room, sitting down on the opposite end of Bennet’s bed.
"Hhm, that's interesting. . .
He trailed off a little bit, getting lost in thought. Maybe he was one of the people who surprisingly would appear randomly in the list of humans, and have no explanation as to why. Then he noticed a look from Connor, "I'm not going to report him, I promise, I was just thinking." He sighed softly and looked over at Connor, "You alright? You look a little tense."
“I wasn’t even worried about that. But there really would be no point in reporting him anyway, Heaven already knows about him, and Emile’s already taken his punishment. Which is probably why Alec’s so bitter…” he mumbled. “But yeah I’m okay, at least I think so?”
