"Probably not… we were gonna go talk to my bosses to see if they'll give me my jobs back, right?"
"Probably not… we were gonna go talk to my bosses to see if they'll give me my jobs back, right?"
“Um, I think so, yeah.” Melissa nodded, starting to pull back. “And then we were gonna do something afterwards. I’m not really sure what.”
"Yeah, we hadn't decided on that… I should probably go change, though." Lucas kissed Melissa softly, grabbed his bag, and headed into the bathroom to change.
Lucas was gone faster than she could say anything, leaving her to sigh softly. Getting up, she headed into her room to go get dressed as well.
Lucas was sitting on the couch by the time Melissa returned, smoothing down his clothes to wait for Melissa.
Melissa smiled softly, coming up and wrapping her arms around his shoulders from behind. "You alright?" She asked softly, pecking his cheek.
"Mhmm! I'm fine, Mel. Ready to go?" Lucas asked, smiling gently as he looked up at Melissa.
“Mhmm~” Melissa chirped, nosing his cheek a little before pulling back. “Should we feed Cody before we go? Or bring him with us?”
"Mm… both. We'll feed him and then bring him." Lucas headed to the kitchen to feed Cody.
Melissa nodded, giving him a soft smile. "Where is he, anyways?" She asked softly, pulling a bowl out to get Cody some water.
"Cody!" Lucas whistled and the dog came running. "Here he is." He grabbed the food and filled up Cody's bowl.
Melissa smiled softly, kneeling down on the floor with a hum. "Hey boy, how are you?" She cooed a little as she scratched behind his ears.
Cody whined happily at Melissa while Lucas fixed the food. When he was done, he set it down on the floor and Cody started eating.
Melissa smiled softly, sitting on the floor and continuing to pet the dog. "Mmm… I've missed you two." She hummed a little.
"We've missed you too, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek softly. "I love you~"
Melissa glanced up to him, giving him a little smile. She reached out for his hand, swinging them back and forth gently. "I love you, too~"
"Mm~…" As soon as Cody finished eating, Lucas clipped his leash on and headed out the door.
Melissa followed after the two, grabbing a jacket for herself as they headed out. "Alright, where to first?"
"Mm… the flower shop is closer to here, so let's start there." Lucas hummed thoughtfully.
"Alright!" Melissa chirped, taking his hand when she fully caught up to him. "Mm, how'd you sleep last night?"
"Pretty good." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek. "What about you, love?" He asked.
Melissa nodded some, resting her head against his shoulder. "I slept alright. It was nice, honestly." She hummed, gently swinging their hands back and forth.
"That's good… have you thought about where you wanna go after we talk to my bosses?"
"Mm, no… I need to, huh?" Melissa laughed weakly, kissing him. "I'll try to think of something. Promise."
"Alrighty, Mel." Lucas hummed happily and led Melissa along, soon reaching the flower shop.
Melissa glanced up to him as they reached it, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. “I can wait out here with Cody, if you’d prefer.”
"You don't have to, Mel… you guys are welcome to come in." Lucas smiled weakly as he opened the door.
“You sure?” Melissa asked softly, bending down and picking up Cody. “I don’t want to be a distraction, or in the way.”
"You'll be fine, Mel… you can look around at the flowers if you want. I don't know if I've brought you here before." Lucas led Melissa into the store.
“Alright…” Melissa whispered, kissing his cheek softly. She gave a tender smile, following after him as they walked around with him.
