Lucas nodded a bit. "Alright… well, thanks for talking to them, anyway. I'll see what I can do…"
Lucas nodded a bit. "Alright… well, thanks for talking to them, anyway. I'll see what I can do…"
Melissa sighed weakly, looking up to him. "I wish I could give better news than that…" She whispered as she reached up to hold his face.
"It's not your fault, Mel… you've done all you could. I might stop by tomorrow to talk to them."
Melissa nodded some, running her thumb across his cheek gently. She weakly smiled as she did so. "I don't mind going with you, if you'd want me to."
Lucas smiled gently as he looked up at Melissa. "You don't have to, but I'd like it if you came with."
Melissa smiled a little more, nodding at his response. "I don't mind going. Only if you want me to come."
"I do, Mel…" Lucas kissed Melissa softly. "Maybe we can go do something afterwards."
"Mm, like what?" She asked before curling up, resting her head on his shoulder. "It's kinda too cold for ice cream."
"Well, I dunno. Anything is fine. I kinda just want to do something." Lucas shrugged.
"We'll have to think about it…" Melissa hummed softly, kissing his shoulder gently.
Lucas nodded a bit and huddled closer. "Sounds good… should we pay attention to our movie now?"
Melissa laughed weakly, nodding just a little. "Probably not a bad idea… do we want to move onto the couch?"
"Sure, if you want to." Lucas got up onto the couch, pulling Melissa with him. He yawned a bit as he looked up at the screen.
Melissa smiled softly, resting her head in his lap when they were curled up on the couch. "Mmm, I love you…"
"Love you too, Mel." Lucas gently kissed Melissa's forehead and huddled close to her while they watched the movie.
Melissa smiled softly, shifting her gaze back up to the TV with a gentle sigh. She had missed this, and him, so much.
Lucas kept quiet for the remainder of the movie, happy to just spend time with Melissa.
After a while, Melissa had nodded off as she leaned up against him. She was sound asleep as the movie neared it's end, breathing softly.
Lucas was close to drifting off as well, but managed to stay awake long enough to turn off the TV and cuddle up with Melissa on the couch.
Melissa stirred momentarily when he shifted around, smiling weakly when Lucas curled up with her. She weakly nuzzled up against him, wrapping her legs around him before nodding back off to sleep.
Lucas soon fell asleep as well, his head resting against Melissa's. He was still fast asleep in the morning.
Melissa yawned and stretched when she woke up, looking up at him with a gentle smile. He looked so peaceful in his sleep, leaving Melissa to smile tenderly. She didn't try to wake him up, quietly tracing circles into his chest as she laid there with him.
Lucas hummed softly in his sleep and huddled closer to Melissa, smiling gently as well. It seemed like he was planning on sleeping for a while.
Melissa kept tracing into his chest, from letters to hearts. She was content to sit here for a while, glancing up to his face. When another half an hour went by she gently started to try and wake him up. "Hey, princess. It's getting late."
Lucas stirred a bit and looked up at Melissa sleepily. "Mmmmm… what…?" He asked, rubbing at his tired eyes.
“We fell asleep after the movie, and it’s morning. We probably need to get up.” Melissa hummed, nuzzling against his shoulder with a content hum.
Lucas whined softly and buried his face in Melissa's shoulder. "But m'tired…" He mumbled.
“But you’re homeee… and I want to spend time doing stuff with youuuu…” Melissa whined in return, kissing his shoulder a few times.
"Fiiiine… what do you wanna do, then?" Lucas asked tiredly.
Melissa held onto him still, nuzzling up against him. “Mm, I dunno. But I know we probably don’t want to lie around all day.” She responded with a soft hum.
