"Well I was offering to go get it for you. But if you want to freeze your butt off, go right ahead." Melissa laughed softly, leaning down to kiss his head.
"Well I was offering to go get it for you. But if you want to freeze your butt off, go right ahead." Melissa laughed softly, leaning down to kiss his head.
"I will, then you very much. Now come freeze with me so we can have fun." Lucas kept rolling up the snow with a contented hum.
Melissa huffed, dropping down to the snow. A light squeak escaped her lips. "It's cooooold…"
"You'll get used to it." Lucas kept making his snowman, though he was obviously shivering. His clothes weren't particularly warm.
Melissa groaned, scooting closer to him. She attempted to help pack the base of the snowman in place. "We're gonna get frostbite." She mumbled, a small smile tracing her lips.
"It'll be worth it. And it's not that cold… I doubt we'll be out here long enough to get frostbite. When we get inside, we can huddle up in some blankets in front of the fireplace with hot cocoa."
Melissa huffed, continuing to pack the snow together. “Alright, alright. But you owe me lots of cuddling.” She mumbled, leaning over to gently kiss his cheek.
"Fine with me. I want my outside time and I'm gonna get it." Lucas started rolling another snowball for his snowman.
Melissa nodded, continuing to pack the snow in. “I know… it’s just so cold.” She mumbled, glancing over to him. “I should have grabbed gloves or something.”
"Well, you're welcome to go grab stuff if you want…" Lucas carefully placed his snowball on top of the one he'd already made.
“Do you want some, too?” Melissa asked softly, starting to get up frown the ground. “I don’t mind grabbing you a coat, too.”
"Yeah, yeah, sure…" Lucas kept rolling the snow with a soft him, seeming to be having fun.
Melissa shook her head, laughing softly. She was in and out of the house in a couple minutes. Coat hung over her arm, gloves in her hands. “Come on princess, put this on before you get sick.”
Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully and put on the coat and gloves that Melissa had brought him. "Thanks, Mel."
“Mm, you’re welcome.” Melissa hummed, scooping up more snow to pack it in with the other snow ball. “You’re honestly so cute.”
"I haven't been outside in ages, okay? I'm gonna have my fun." Lucas gathered up some more snow.
“I’m not making fun of you, Lu.” Melissa promised, coming up behind him. “I was just telling you. You really are super cute.”
"Mm…" Lucas kept building his snowman, occasionally glancing over to Cody sitting beside him. Cody was looking around curiously as well. He wasn't very accustomed to snow.
Melissa smiled at the two boys, pulling her hair up out of her face. “What can I do to help?” She asked in a soft hum.
"Whatever you want to." Lucas carefully packed in the snow so that it was sturdy.
Melissa nodded, rounding out the bottom of the snowman as he worked on the top half. “Mm, what are we gonna use for the face?”
"Mm… I dunno. Any good sticks or rocks around here?" Lucas asked curiously.
“Well- maybe..? I could check the backyard, when we get to that.” Melissa hummed, starting to round the next part of the snowman.
"Alrighty." Lucas kept working on his snowman, seeming quite pleased with himself. "This is nice…"
Melissa nodded, packing the snow in tightly. “I agree, it’s nice to be together again.” She hummed, smiling softly.
"Mhmm!" Lucas brightened a bit more as he kept working. Cody started trotting around the yard, sniffing at things he hadn't seen before.
Melissa giggled, rolling up another smaller snowball for the head. "We need to go to the clearing! We could build another one, there."
"Oh, yeah! I'm sure there's lots of snow there." Lucas smiled softly as he watched Melissa.
"Yeah! I wonder if any of the water is frozen done there…" Melissa attempted to pick up the snowball, pausing as she approached the snowman. "I don't want to knock it over… help?"
Lucas took the snowball from Melissa and gently set it on top of the snowman. "There you go, love. And the water is probably frozen, yeah."
