"Mmm…" Lucas stirred a bit and looked up at Melissa tiredly. "Mornin… you need something…?"

Melissa slowly ran her fingers through his hair, shaking her head. "No, but it's almost noon." She whispered, cupping his cheek.

"Mmmmmm…" Lucas whined softly as he leaned into Melissa's hand. "Okaaay… fine…"

"Don't be whiney, I let you sleep for a long time." Melissa hummed, nuzzling against him. "We need to get up and eat something."

"Fiiiine…" Lucas reluctantly sat up and rubbed at his eyes. "Mm… god, m'tired…"

"Why? I know we stayed up a little later, but we also fell asleep for a couple hours." Melissa hummed, still laying down on the floor.

Lucas shrugged a bit. "I'm usually pretty slow and drowsy when I first wake up, so…"

"That's fair." Melissa nodded, sitting up with a yawn. "Mm… breakfast?"

"Mhmm… what should we make?" Lucas asked softly.

"Pancakes?" Melissa asked softly, starting to get out of the fort. She stood up, stretching as she did.

"Sounds good to me, Mel…" Lucas headed out of the fort with Melissa. "What do you need me to grab?"

"Um, the pancake mix should be in the cabinet." Melissa hummed, walking into the kitchen. "Could you grab that?"

"Sure, Mel." Lucas went and grabbed the pancake mix and brought it back to Melissa.

Melissa had everything else set on the counter, taking the box from him. "Thanks, love." Melissa hummed, pecking his cheek.

"Mhmm." Lucas returned the kiss and leaned against the counter with a soft sigh. "Love you…"

"Love you, too." Melissa hummed softly, focusing on making breakfast. "How'd you sleep? Any bad dreams?"

"I don't think so… I was really tired, so I slept pretty alright. What about you, darling?"

"I slept fine." Melissa hummed, mixing up the pancake batter. "Better with you, for some reason."

Lucas smiled gently and flushed a bit. "I love you, Mel~" He crooned softly.

Melissa glanced up at him, smiling softly. "I love you, too~" She hummed, leaning over to kiss his cheek.

Lucas returned the kiss and started rooting around in the fridge for something to drink.

Melissa smiled softly, going over to the stove. "Mm, how many do you want?" She asked as she started on one.

"Uh… one, maybe? Or two, I dunno…" Lucas pulled out juice and poured some for himself and Melissa.

“Alright.” Melissa nodded a little, humming softly. She tucked her hair out of her face, glancing over to him. “I love you.”

"Love you too, Mel." Lucas hummed softly in content and started drinking his juice.

Melissa hummed softly, singing under her breath as she finished off the pancakes. Playing them, she offered him one.

"Thanks, darling." Lucas kissed Melissa softly as he accepted the food from her. "Don't forget to feed yourself, okay?"

“I’m eating, don’t worry about me.” Melissa whispered, grabbing the other plate. “Syrup is in the cabinet.”

"Alrighty." Lucas fetched the syrup and sat down at the table with Melissa. "So, what're your plans for the day?"

“Nothing really. Just a relaxing day, after a busy one yesterday.” She shrugged, taking the syrup once he got his own. “We can just hang around the house.”
