Melissa huffed, shoulders slumping as she nodded. "Alright, fine…" She sighed softly, lifting her head, cheeks still pink.

"I want both of us to be happy when we're hanging out here together… we get so little time, after all."

Melissa nodded a little, pecking his cheek. "Sorry…" She mumbled, resting her head back on his shoulder.

"Don't be, Mel… I love you so much, okay?" He kissed Melissa gently again.

"I love you, too…" Melissa whispered, smiling softly. She returned the kiss before nuzzling up against his cheek.

Lucas quietly returned the nuzzles and hugged Melissa tightly. He sighed quietly in content.

Melissa continued to smile softly, curling up with a light yawn. Humming softly, she reached to hold onto his hand.

Lucas laced his fingers with Melissa's and buried his face in her shoulder. "Love you, darling…"

"Mm, love you too, Lucas…" Melissa mumbled in reply, kissing the top of his head.

"How much longer can you stay?" Lucas asked in a soft whisper.

"Dunno…" Melissa mumbled, glancing up at the wall clock. "I think I have like twenty more minutes?"

Lucas nodded a bit and buried his face again. "Okay… and you'll be back soon?"

"Of course, love. I'll most likely come sooner, but I'll definitely try to come visit you on my birthday." Melissa hummed, kissing the top of his head again.

"Unless I'm out of here by then, of course. Then I can go and be with you instead."

"Yeah… I just wanted to give you the reassurance." Melissa shrugged, nosing his cheek. "I'll probably be back sometime in the next couple of days."

"Okay… I'm looking forward to it." Lucas kissed Melissa softly. "I always like to see you."

"And I love coming to see you." Melissa hummed, smiling a little more at the kiss.

Lucas smiled weakly and nuzzled against Melissa again. "Mm… wanna sit down?" He asked.

Melissa smiled softly, pecking his lips. “Sure, why not?” She hummed, picking her phone up and pocketing it. “Can I sit on your lap again?”

Lucas nodded a bit and carefully got the both of them settled in a chair. "How's that? You comfortable?"

Melissa nodded, starting to run her fingers through his hair. “Mm, what about you? Are you comfortable?”

"Yeah, I'm fine." Lucas leaned into Melissa's touch and hummed happily. "I love you~"

“I love you, too.” Melissa hummed, pressing a few soft kisses to his forehead. She continued to play with his hair, twisting it around her fingers carefully. “Your hair is so soft…”

"Mm~…" Lucas hummed happily. "Glad you think so, Mel. I try my best to take care of it."

“Well, whatever you’re doing, is working…” Melissa smiled a little more, planting one last kiss to the tip of his nose. “You’re also really cute when you’re happy.”

Lucas flushed a bit and looked away. "Thanks, Mel…" He murmured softly. "I… uh… use conditioner?"

Melissa laughed lightly wrapping her arms around him before burying her face into his shoulder. “Mm, well, you’ll have to tell me which one.”

"Mm… I think my hair is also naturally pretty soft." Lucas rested his head against Melissa's.

“That’s fair… I mean, I guess mine is pretty soft, too.” Melissa hummed softly, shrugging some.

"Mhmm…" Lucas nodded a bit and huddled closer, holding Melissa close to himself.
