"Yeah… then we're not confined to this one space." Melissa hummed, scrunching her face at the little bit of nuzzling.

"Mhmm. And I'll get to see people again… obviously I love seeing you when you come in, but I get real lonely here."

"Yeah, that's fair… we could go for walks together, again. I haven't gone on one for awhile…" Melissa mumbled, resting her head against him.

"You should! You know you're allowed to go on walks without me, Mel." Lucas laughed weakly.

Melissa laughed softly, burying her face in his shoulder. "Well, I went once or twice. It's just weird without having you or Cody there."

"True…" Lucas sighed softly. "But still, going on walks is good for you and it's fun."

"I- yeah… I mean, I still walk to school on occasion. Nights I don't have to work." Melissa shrugged a bit. "I'm not really a huge fan of walking home, alone from work, so late at night."

Lucas sighed again. "I'm sorry, Mel… I wish there was more I could do about that right now. Can't your dad drive you home?"

"I mean, there's no need, really. I've been driving myself." Melissa shrugged a little. "I'm really gonna be fine, you don't need to worry about me. I can handle myself."

Lucas nodded a bit and sighed. "Alright… I'm still sorry, love. I wanna make sure you're safe."

Melissa nodded a little, holding onto him a little tighter. "And I am. I'm taking as many precautions as I can, without seeming extreme."

"Sounds good to me, Mel… I dunno what I'd do if anything happened to you." Lucas kissed her again.

"I'd rather not find out, if possible." Melissa mumbled, smiling some at the kiss. "For your, and my sake. I don't want to get hurt."

"I know, Mel… I'll not get into it, alright?" He sighed shakily and hugged Melissa tightly.

"Thank you… I don't want you worrying about something like that. The chances are really small, something would happen to me." Melissa whispered, leaning into him.

"Small, but not none. I don't want you getting hurt or anything, darling." Lucas sighed softly.

Melissa nodded, holding on a little tighter to him. "I'm trying my best not to get hurt…" She mumbled, burying her face up against him.

"I know, Mel… thank you." Lucas smiled weakly. "I know you're trying. I love you~"

Melissa pulled herself closer, growing more clingy. "I love you, too~" She hummed in response, swaying a little.

Lucas rested his head against Melissa's and sighed shakily. "You're the best, Mel… I love you…"

Melissa smiled weakly, starting to pull back. "I wouldn't say the best, but I love you, too."

"Well, I think you're the best." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek gently.

"Mmm, I'm really not~" Melissa insisted, smiling a little at the kiss. Gently she kissed him in return.

"Regardless, I love you. Soooooo much." Lucas smiled gently as well.

Melissa flushed, but laughed anyways. "You're too cute~" She grinned, stepping back a bit with a hum.

"Glad you think so, Mel." Lucas smiled softly again and hugged Melissa tightly.

"Mm, I'm thinking this whole thing is doing you some good. You're not blushing right now." Melissa hummed, resting her head against him.

Lucas rolled his eyes a bit. "Yeah, yeah… that'll change real quick if you continue on like that, Mel."

"Mm, I can stop. I just wanted to point it out." Melissa shrugged, holding on a little tighter.

Lucas nodded and sighed softly, rubbing Melissa's back a bit. "I really do love you…"
