He scowled at him. “Clever. But I’m not eating all of it.” He took literally the smallest of bites from it, just to mess with Bennet, sending a similar smirk in his direction. At hearing Bennet’s question, he replied quickly. “What?”
"HHmph, such a shame, and to think, I gave that to you out of the kindness of my heart." Bennet said - as usual- being completely overdramatic- then going back to his regular self sighed a little, "I'm sort of bored, not with you or anything, I just want to do something, I just don't know what yet." He shook his head a little, "Never mind, I don't need to bother you with this, I guess. . .I don't know, and now I'm rambling again. . .great!"
“Well now we have to go do something jeez!” He was now also being over dramatic and petty, as evidenced by how he rolled his eyes at Bennet. “So, got any ideas of what we could do for fun?”
"Talk? Get to know eachother? Play a board game? I don't know what's something fun that you like to do?" Bennet said shrugging, "I mean, I can always go back to room or something, and if you want to do something by yourself, I don't know, I mean I guess we could hang out, I mean I enjoy spending time with you. . ." He began to ramble a little bit, "Oh my goodness, I mean, yeah. . . How's that sound?"
“Mmmm…” he thought for a second. “Well I don’t really want to go back to my room….” he began to come up with some ideas in his head before eventually coming up with an idea he liked. “Ooh! How about truth or dare?”
"Ooh, that sounds fun. . .but aren't we a little too old for that, and you know, uhm not teenage girls?" He felt a slight bit self conscious about playing this sort of game, mainly since, from what he knew the game normally ended badly. People would be hurt, or well, hurt. . .but he was sure he'd be fine, "Uhm, okay then, let's play it, I'm sure it'll be fun!"
“Don’t judge me, it’s the first thing that came to mind and it’s a good way to get to know each other.” He sat up, looking over at Bennet. “So who goes first?” He asked. Connor wasn’t super worried, besides all the stuff about him being a demon, he didn’t have really anything to hide.
"I'm not judging, and I don't think I will, although you can feel free to judge me as much as possible, "How's that sound? And, uhm I can go first." He said as he turned to face Connor, "Well, uhm. . .truth or dare?" Thois ought to get interesting, Bennet just hoped he wouldn't get in too much trouble back in Heaven if told a white lie, or a real one. After all they did tell him to not let anyone know about what he really was, that would get in major trouble on Earth and in Heaven, with a result most likely being fired, then killed.
“Hmmmm truth!” He said excitedly. He was looking forward to see what Bennet would ask him. The guy didn’t seem like he was going to ask anything too insane.
"I. . .let's see here, let's start out with something a bit mild, and not well too. . you know." Bennet said trying to come up with a decent question, he then smiled happily when he thought up an extremely random one, "This is random, like really weird, but I couldn't think of anything else, so please just bear with me, okay? After you've dropped a piece of food, what's the longest time you've waited before actually eating it? You I mean don't have to answer it, if you don't want too."
“Hmm..depends on how long it’s been since I cleaned the floor. If I cleaned it the day before, probably 20 minutes at most. If it’s been too long for me to remember when I cleaned it, it’s 10 seconds at most. Okay now your turn! Truth or dare?”
"Uhm, well, I guess I'll go with a dare, just for fun, what's the worst thing that could happen?" He said with a shrug. He leaned back against one of the pillows on the couch and smiled wryly, "And you can have fun with the dare, I mean not too much fun but some fun, I guess. . ." He was getting a little nervous, he didn't exactly know what type of dare that Connor might come up with. "Hopefully nothing too crazy, but then again, crazy could be fun too.
“Okay let me think.” He stared up at the ceiling, his face deep in concentration. “I got one. I dare you to hang upside down off the couch for two minutes.” It was random but it was what he came up with.
Bennet shook his head, trying to not laugh, "Wow, you're amazing at daring people. But I'll do it." He put down his plate of food down on the coffee table, then turned so that he would be on his back, then he hooked his legs on the couch, "SoOoOOOOoOoOOoOOo, truth or dare, Connor?" He said, not able to stifle his laughter anymore.
Connor smiled at seeing Bennet laugh. “Dare. And make it a good one.” He responded, his smile turning into a challenging grin.
"Let's see here." Perhaps it was all the blood circulating to his head, but Bennet was getting a little mischievous, "Do we have any. . .uhm, you drinks or something? If we do, I dare you to take a shot of something, your choice though." Sure he was an angel, but he new about this type of stuff, and the guy did say to make it a good one
His grin widened. “Now that’s a good dare. I’ll be right back.” He stood up, walking into his room. He emerged a second later with a shot glass and a bottle of whiskey. He poured himself a shot and quickly took it before sitting back down. “Okay…truth or dare?”
It had been about two minutes at this point, so Bennet sat back upright. "Uhm, well I guess truth, you can make it interesting, I don't have too much to hide." He said with a smile, he figured this was a decent way to get to know somebody, hopefully nothing would go wrong.
“Hmmmm” he bit his lip gently. Since it was the 21st century, there were a lot of things he could ask people without getting shunned afterwards. That had happened before in the 1950’s. Stupid 50’s, that homophobia had not been fun to deal with. “Have you everrrrr kissed a guy?” He hoped it didn’t seem like he was trying to hit on Bennet because that wasn’t his intention.
"I uhm. . ." Bennet turned a dark shade of red,"I. . .well, no. Not exactly, where I'm f-from that sort of s-stuff is looked d-down on, but I. . .uhm.. . .I've, well, I've considered it." His cheeks turned an even darker shade of red as he said that, "So uhm. . .yeah, that's my answer." He sighed softly, he really hoped that nobody from Heaven was listening in on this conversation, he'd be in big trouble if they were. His phone vibrated letting him know that he was getting a text, and he quickly put his phone on the coffeetable, so he could try to ignore it.
“Well that sounds like it sucks. It’s 2020, people need to mind their own damn business, at least in my opinion. I say, do what you want, love who you want to love you know?” He realized how worked up he was getting and sighed. “Sorry I’ll shut up now. Didn’t mean to get all political on you or whatever.”
Oh, no, I agree with what you're saying and stuff. That's why I left, I didn't exactly want to stay in such a negative influence in my life anymore. But, well now that I've left, I'm yet to act, or be my own person. I guess I've kind of just stayed the way they taught me to be." Bennet sighed a little bit shaking his head, "But uhm, let's get back to the game, truth or dare?"
“Well I mean we can always change that. I mean-“ Somewhere in his head he thought this was a bad idea. But that part of his brain wasn’t the part he was listening to. “I guess what I’m saying is, you already know me. And there are some pretty untrustworthy guys out there. So if you ever really want to get experience kissing guys or whatever, I’m here for you dude.”

Bennet was already a deep deep shade of red at this point, and he was beginning to panic. He always got this way when someone flirted with him, he just never knew what to do, and his awkward self would begin to go into panic mode. "I. . .uhm, thank you?" He barely managed to squeak out, before looking down at the floor and fidgeting with the tassel of one of the pillows, "T-that's very sweet o-of you." He mumbled, still in panic mode.
“No problem. That’s what friends are for right?” Connor very clearly had demon friends. Nobody else would ever consider that as a thing friends just did for each other. But for Connor it was normal. And while he noticed Bennet’s gay panic, he didn’t really think anything of it, passing it off as Bennet just being a flustered guy in general.

"Uhmmmmmmm, yeah?" Bennet said quietly, still not really looking at Connor, ""Uhm, are we going to continue the game, or uhm. . ." He sighed a little, "I mean, I'd like to, but if you're done, that's alright t-too." He stuttered trying to just behave as though nothing had happened, "I uhm, yeah. . .I uhm, yeah." He finally looked up at him, "So, uhm. . .yeah, if you want, I can go back to my room. . ."
“No it’s okay we can continue the game.” He smiled warmly at him. “Okay so it was my turn right? Yeah, okay…I choose truth. So while you think about what to ask, I’m gonna go get a drink.” He hopped up, going back into the kitchen.
"Okay, that works." Bennet decided to ask a bit of a different question, and he figured he already knew the other guy's answer, "Okay, so uhm, have you ever committed a crime or something like that? I don't really have any other ideas of what to ask you." He was feeling a little bit better at this point, well a lot less nervous, and the stuttering had stopped, so he felt a bit more confident now.
“Oh yeah most definitely.” He said pretty much immediately. “I mean nothing major but yes I’ve absolutely committed petty crimes before. There was that arson one time though…” he muttered that last part under his breath, frowning a bit before returning to his normal volume. “My friends are a terrible influence.” He said with a polite smile.
That was not what he had expected at all, "Oh, uhm, alright, that's. . .that's interesting. . ."Bennet sort of smiled at him, "Uhm, well. . .okay?" He chewed at his lower lip, trying to process what he had heard, "That's, that's cool, I guess, I never have really committed any crimes or anything, so, I think that's interesting. Do you get in big trouble?"
