Jade blushed a little and gently leaned against his side.
Jade blushed a little and gently leaned against his side.
He smiled a little.
She smiled back at him.
He kissed her cheek softly.
She hummed happily, though her blush darkened.
He closed his eyes for a moment. "Your roommate isn't coming back anytime soon, is she?" He asked.
She shook her head. ”Not likely. When she says she’ll won't be home till late, she usually means early tomorrow morning.” Jade chuckled. ”It actually helps give me plenty of cover for if I need to leave for a job.”
He nodded a little. "Ah. Lucky you." He replied, smiling a little. "I mean…I don't have a roommate, but still." He'd never really had a roommate. Once he'd left the foster system…it didn't matter. He hadn't ever gone to college; never got the chance, and didn't have the energy to work as hard for it as most other foster kids had had to.
“Yeah. I guess so.” she shrugged a little. ”I don't mind some of her antics and she's kind of my anchor to a normal life but… I don't know. I guess she was a little more normal.” she chuckled before nodding at the little fact he just shared. ”I know you don't have one. I would have met them by now, since I've been over so often.” Not to mention, I know how much you like your privacy…
He shrugged his shoulders a little bit. "Yeah." he replied with a faint smile. "I prefer to live alone, so."
She nodded, scooting a little closer to him. ”Understandable. Plus, it saves you from awkward explanations.” she said as she thought of all the times she had to come up with a believable excuse for her going out randomly and occasionally coming back with an injury she wasn't able to hide.
"Yeah, there is that." He replied with a faint smile.
She smiled a little at him. ”Is there anything other reason why you live alone?” she asked, gently.
He frowned faintly. "What do you mean?" He asked.
”Oh, nothing really.” she told him. ”I guess I was just wondering if you prefer that… Or if you’ve just never found a possible roommate.” she clarified. ”Sorry if I worded that wrong.”
He shrugged a little. "I don't know. I prefer to live alone, I think."
She nodded a little, accepting that answer. ”Ok, then. That's your choice anyway.”
He nodded slightly as well. "Yeah."
She looked up at him, hoping that she hadn't offended him earlier.
He gave her a slight smile.
She smiled softly back at him.
He kissed her cheek softly.
She hummed softly at the kiss before returning the gesture.
He smiled lightly.
She smiled back and nuzzled against him.
He held her close.
She sighed softly and relaxed.
He nuzzled her cheek.
She giggled a little and nuzzled him right back.
He smiled at her happily.
