Melissa glanced over to her father, slowly shaking her head. "I… I don't think so..?" She trailed, expecting her father to fill in her uncertainty. "Not at the moment, no." Mr. Brennahan confirmed.

Lucas nodded a bit, toying with Cody's ears a bit. "Alright… um… I think I've already told you all my news, which isn't much."
Melissa smiled softly, starting to stand up and stretch. "Besides Gabe coming home, and us going to see cousins for Thanksgiving, not much has happened. Your team didn't win the last game, but they came close. It was 5 to 3, I'm pretty sure…"
"Mm… bet it's because they didn't have me." Lucas laughed weakly. "I kid, I kid… at least they were close, right? Wouldn't want them getting destroyed."
"I think that's true. Slowly they've been coming closer and closer to losing. This was probably the first week they've lost." Melissa hummed, gently kissing his hand. "I think they're missing you."
Lucas sighed and returned the kiss. "Yeah… I miss them too. Hopefully I'll be able to join in on the games when I get back."
"I'm hoping so, too. Some of them are being mopey when I come to practice, and you're not there." Melissa snickered softly, pulling his hand up to her face.
"Awww, they really do miss me." Lucas snickered a bit as well. "Tell them that I looove them so much."
Melissa laughed weakly, nuzzling into his hand. "They dooo. I'll have to tell your boyfriends you miss them, too." She teased, looking up at him.
"Of course you will. I'll have to send them something next time you guys come." Lucas smiled softly.
Mr. Brennahan watched the two, rather amused. But he kept quiet. Melissa kept up a gentle smile, kissing the inside of his hand. "Mmm, you could write a letter. I can pass it off." She mumbled a little.
"Mm, yeah. We'll have to do that next time, though. I wanna make sure I've got enough time to write a good one. Do tell them the other stuff, though."
"Of course, Lu." Melissa hummed, reaching over to play with his hair. "Though I'm disappointed you never got to call them with pet-names during practice."
Lucas rolled his eyes, smiling playfully. "Yeah, yeah. I've still got time. I can do it once I'm out of this place."
Melissa laughed weakly, nodding. "That's true… you've gotta do it as soon as you can play again. And while I'm there."
"Alright, alright, alright… next time I'm allowed to participate in practice and you're also there. How does that sound?"
Melissa's smile picked up, and she nodded a little. "Sounds wonderful. I honestly want to see the looks on their faces…"
"I'm sure they'll be at least a little surprised at first. I'm generally pretty quiet." Lucas laughed.
"Mmm, I bet." Melissa laughed softly, gently kissing his palm once again. "Honestly I think I was a little surprised when you used them on me."
"Yeah… you are my girlfriend, though, so pet names are a little more normal." He smiled gently.
"Pfft, what are you talking about? That's just crazy talk." Melissa laughed a little, nosing up against him.
"Yeah, yeah…" Lucas laughed and softly kissed Melissa's cheek. "I have more pet names for you than you do for me."
"Mmm… I could probably come up with more, but you wouldn't like it." Melissa snickered, her cheeks flushing at the soft kiss.
"Yeah, probably not. They tend to make me pretty flustered." He laughed again. "I'm not really used to them."
"Like Rocky~" She teased, letting her smirk settled. "If you think that's bad, I can make it worse."
"Noooo!" Lucas flushed and shook his head a bit, still grinning. "We don't talk about Rocky."
Melissa kept up her little smirk, burying her face in his hand. “Mmm, yes we do. It seriously could be worse. I could be calling you some stupid nickname every time you went up to bat. Or when I saw you in the cafeteria.”
"Oh, come now… where are you gonna get these stupid nicknames from? I don't generally do anything dumb enough to warrant a nickname."
“Mm, I’ve heard some before. And trust me, I’ve got a very active imagination.” Melissa purred softly, starting to sit back. “You love the sunflower field by your house- I could call you flower boy.”
Lucas flushed again and huffed a bit, looking away. He honestly didn't really mind the nicknames, but they never failed to make him go red.
