When Lucas was up on his feet, Melissa smiled softly as she reached out for his hand. "Mhmm."
When Lucas was up on his feet, Melissa smiled softly as she reached out for his hand. "Mhmm."
Lucas led Melissa up to her room and flopped down on the bed, humming softly to himself.
Melissa smiled, walking over to her closet and pulling it open. "I dunno what I have in here."
"Board games, maybe?" Lucas shrugged. "I know we've done that before."
"Mm, that's out in the hall closet, if we want to play one." Melissa hummed softly, dropping down to the floor. "It looks like I just have old toys and stuff in here."
"Mm… well, it's been years since I played with toys, but I'm happy to do whatever you want, darling." Lucas laughed.
Melissa laughed as well, turning to face him. "I doubt you want to play with Barbie dolls, Lu."
"If that's what you wanna do, I will." Lucas snickered. "We never had any dolls at my house. Just stuffed animals and Hot Wheels."
"Well, if you did have them at the house, I'm sure Claus would have probably teased you about it. So maybe it's for the best." Melissa hummed, going back to her closet.
"Yeah, he definitely would've. He already teased me enough for my plushies." Lucas laughed a bit.
"That's what I thought." Melissa laughed softly, pulling a box out from her closet. Curious, she opened it up and smiled softly.
Lucas wandered over and knelt beside Mel, looking into the box curiously.
"Pictures," She stated, pulling out a couple printed photos. "I forgot I had these. I never put them in a photo-album, I just kept them."
"Ooh, can I see?" Lucas asked with a soft smile, holding out one hand in case she said yes.
"Yeah, of course." Melissa hummed, holding out one of them to him. There was a younger version of her standing there, hair braided into two, a blue and white dress on. She looked a lot like Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz.
"Awww~" Lucas examined the picture with a gentle grin. "Where's Toto, darling?" He asked teasingly.
Melissa giggled, smiling up at him. "I mean, Cody could be my Toto. But that was about seven years ago." She hummed, patting the spot next to her as she pulled out more pictures.
"True." Lucas settled himself beside Melissa and kissed her on the cheek, still grinning. "Gimme more! You were such a cute kid."
"Oh hush, I was not." Melissa huffed, sticking her tongue out as she offered him another one.
"You absolutely were. We gotta find the pictures of us together." Lucas smiled brightly as he looked down at the pictures.
"Mm, whatever." Melissa huffed, pulling the photo-box closer to herself. She started selectively pulling out photos, setting them down in front of him. "I might not actually have a lot in here. I kept most of those in an actual photo-album."
"Where's that?" Lucas asked curiously, continuing to root through Melissa's photos with a contented hum.
"Mmm…" Melissa hummed in thought, setting the couple of photos she had back in the box. Getting up from her spot, she headed over to her desk, kneeling down on the floor and scanning over the shelf built in it. "Aha! Here it is." She chirped, pulling it off the shelf.
"Nice!" Lucas flipped open the photo book and started looking through it, his face still bright.
There was a lot more photos of the two of them together in this than in her photo-box. "Mm, I don't know if I ever finished filling this one." She admitted in a soft tone.
"These are all great, darling… we were cute kids." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek before turning back to the photo book.
"You specifically." Melissa hummed, smiling softly. She scooted over closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder.
"You were cute too!" Lucas insisted, laughing a bit. "Look how adorable you were, darling. Look!" He held the book out to her.
Melissa laughed, rolling her eyes a little. "I see, I see." She insisted, resting her hand on to top of it. "Though I'm automatically just going to think you were cuter."
Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully. "But I wasn't! Look at your little pigtails, love. You were adorable."
