”Sorry.” she said as she continued to bandage him. It needed to be a little tight so his ribs could heal properly but she certainly didn't want to hurt him further.
”Sorry.” she said as she continued to bandage him. It needed to be a little tight so his ribs could heal properly but she certainly didn't want to hurt him further.
He winced a little again. "It's fine."
She bit her tongue for a moment and shook her head as she finished. ”Are there any other serious injuries that need to be taken care of?”
He shook his head slightly. "I…I don't think so."
”Ok.” she sighed, a little relieved but still worried. At least as far as she could tell there weren't any signs of a concussion. ”You didn't hit your head on anything during the fight, did you?” Of course, it wouldn't hurt to ask before she decided if he should have some painkillers.
He blinked, thinking about that. "I don't know."
She hummed softly and looked at his eyes. ”Any headaches or nausea since the fight?”
He shrugged. "I don't know."
”Well, your speech is normal at least.” she commented. ”And your eyes don't seem to be dilated differently. Umm, any ringing in the ears?” she asked, wanting to make sure.
He shook his head slightly.
”Ok, good. Just one last question then I'll get you some painkillers.” she promised. ”Have you had any trouble using your magic since the fight?”
"I…I don't think so?"
”Will you try? Please.” she encouraged. ”Just something simple.”
He nodded a little, and held up a hand, casting light.
She watched his actions and nodded, satisfied that he was indeed in the clear. She stood up and lightly kissed his forehead before heading to get the pills and some water.
He let out the light, giving her a faint smile.
She smiled softly back and handed him the water and a couple of pills. ”Here.”
He took them, swallowing the pills. "Thank you."
“You’re welcome.” she said, sitting next to him.
He leaned against her tiredly, sighing faintly.
”Get some rest. We’ll be alone for a while.” she assured as she gently held him.
He nodded a little, closing his eyes and sighing softly.
She smiled softly and pulled a blanket over him, gently running her fingers through his hair.
"Thank you for your help." He said softly.
”You’re welcome.” she smiled softly. ”Besides, you helped me once.” she reminded him, though that wasn't the only reason she was helping him now.
He nodded a little bit, leaning into her.
She lightly kissed his forehead and started humming softly.
He started to fall asleep.
She kept humming. Killian deserved a good rest after everything he'd been through.
He was nestled close to her.
