A fuill bottle of tequila in one hand, her nail polish already chipped off and her phone in the other, Allison stepped out of her car and continued to grab the next 6 bags of groceries she decided to buy for the girls instead of them each buying groceries separately. This was easier and she felt like being nice today.
It was a good day today after all. Only 10 in the morning and a nice autumn breeze sweeping over the steets and through her honey brown hair.
She still had a small hungover headache from last night, but that didnt effect her too much.
Walking into the apartment, she knocked on the door with her elbow, but when nobody answered her immediately, she peeked into the whole in the door, even though she knew she wasnt about it be able to see anything inside.
“HEY SLUTS!! I BRING GIFTS FOR YOU!! OPEN THE DOOR” she says kicking it, balancing on one leg with grocery bags lined up against her arms. A big smile on her face, excited to see the girls reactions to her buying all of the groceries just because she was in a good mood. She didnt really do this often
And plus, she was planning on having a nice dinner tonight, as her landlord told her the new girls moving in today and she wanted to make a good impression.

Either Ryan didn’t hear the door, or she didn’t care. Both were equally likely.
She sat in her chair, leaned all the way back so the back was resting on her bed. Her room wasn’t large— the walls covered in posters and string lights all around. It looked relatively like a retro arcade, colors mixing with black lights and moderate glow. She had a jukebox in a far corner— the kind that actually took vinyl records— that her parents had given her. The sides of it alternated the colors of the rainbow, and busted out a few Def Leppard songs she played along with.
Sure, she had heard of the new girl showing up soon, but didn’t give a single care about making a good impression. If the situation presented itself, she’d step forward. But for the time being… well, she’d let the other girls handle it.

Moving into a new apartment with roommates is both very exciting and different to Jade. Her heart has been in a nonstop race ever since she packed the first box. In some moments, it felt like it was going to explode!

She wondered what the other girls will be like; friend material is a great guess. Hopefully they'll like her too; the landlord did say that they were nice. "I'm sure everything is going to be awesome.", she reassured herself while parking her car.

After pulling up her hair in a ponytail, she tucked in her tank top while trying to straighten it out. She took some things and walked over to the front door. Her first instinct was to knock despite already having a key. Jade took a deep breath before opening the door as slowly as possible. "Hello?", she called while peeking inside.

Ally managed to unlock the door herself with her teeth, as her hands were full and open the door with her elbow. Determined to get in without putting the groceries down.
She walked in and set the groceries down on the kitchen table "guess what!! I bought groceries for this month!! No need to thank me. I know I'm awesome" she says with a hair flip, although she knew nobody was probably listening. She talked so much all the time, she was used to nobody listening. But she didnt take that as a bad thing!! Or she didnt act like it. Instead she thought "nobody can tell me to shut up if they're not listening"
Opening the bags, she put four pints of ice cream in the freezer when she heard the door creak open and a cute little voice came from outside.

Allison whipped her head around and when she saw the girl peek her head in, a cheeky smile lit up on her face.
"HEY LOSERS!! SHES HERE, COME IN BEFORE I CALL DIBS" she yelled jokingly to the girl's rooms before sliding across the hard wood floor in her fuzzy mismatched socks, falling as she did so. But that didnt slow her down, as she popped right back up with crazy hair and a smile.
"Well heya hiya!! Welcome to our humble abode!! You're just in time! I brought food!! I'm Allison by the way! Call me Ally!"

Sounds of thudding, groaning, then excessive cursing came from an inner room and Freya emerged, running for the kitchen and putting cold water on her finger. "Ry, Ally, I hate you. Why would you tell me my hair looks nicer curled? I almost burned my finger off trying to make it look nicer before going out." She flipped both of them off before noticing the shy face peeking from the front door. With half her hair in a messy bun and wearing a simple pair of leggings and a bra, Freya did not look at all prepared to be meeting their new roomie. "Hey Friend, I'm Freya. I get called May and also Bitch a lot so feel free!" She exclaimed. "I'll be getting ready so don't disturb unless you want to get smacked." She blew a kiss and sauntered back into her room, playing a random Alan Walker song and singing along in a low voice.

Ryan stayed put in her room, smiling softly at the commotion downstairs. She wouldn’t be caught dead with that smile on her face in front of anybody, but she was alone, so it was fine.
She gave a final strum to her guitar as the song came to a close, putting down the instrument and pushing herself up from her chair. She strode over to the jukebox, pausing it before a new song started. If it did, she just might have to stay until it was finished. It was an odd habit, but one she abided by nonetheless.
Tiredly she made her way over to the door, opening it and sauntering down the stairs, catching a glimpse of Allison and the new girl as she did so. Her own smile was long gone, and she gave the new member a low nod, before turning and helping Ally put away the groceries.

Jade kept hesitating to go inside; she kept hearing voices from inside. Butterflies flew around in her stomach when she noticed that one of the roommates. A little grin appeared on her face when the girl smiled at her. She decided to widen the door a bit more to take a step inside picking up the two boxes that were on the ground.

The yelling sort of startled her, but she felt bad when the girl fell down. Her brain repeated Ally over and over till it was stuck, she didn't want to be forgetful. Then she glanced over at the other girl, Freya, who walked over to sink giving her a small wave. For a second she wondered if they could a makeover sometime; but maybe that thought who have to be saved for another time. Another roommate came in giving her a head bow, Jade just smiled in return. A flush of red appeared on her cheeks, she's finally meeting everyone!

"It's so amazing to meet you, I'm Jade!", Jade gushed,"So it's Allison/Ally, Freya, and who's the one that gave me a nod?"

"Oh, that's just Ryan, we call her Ry." Freya said, coming out if her room with perfectly styled hair, not natural, but light looking makeup, a pair of skinny Jean's and an off the shoulder top with flowy sleeves and a cut out in the back. "I have a date," she said in a sing song voice. "Expect me back in an hour, we're going to a movie." She said putting her phone and headphones in a purse. Freya grabbed her heels and headed for the door, smiling at the new girl again. "Once again, welcome!"

When she heard Freya cursing when she came out of her room, Ally giggled. "Finish it and you'll look hot. Dont worry" she waved it off. Once she put about three bags of different vegetables away, she looked over at the new girl with a smile. She was so happy to hear her actually say things. She hoped she wasnt super quiet like Ryan.
"Jades a cute name! Here let me.help you with those boxes! I can show you to your room! Oh, and then if you want, you can help me make dinner! I have decided what we're making yet though!" She says awkwardly, picking up one of the boxes for her.
"Hey Freya! You gonna be here in time for dinner? I bought this months groceries!" She says with her huge smile. Her bottle of tequila still sat on the kitchen counter

"I love you for bringing the groceries. Ipromise I'll buy them for next month," she raised a hand to her shoulder and crossed her heart. "Scouts honour. I'll be here for Dinner, want me to pick up something or are you guys going to make something?" She asked, looking in the mirror near the door, something she insisted was placed there, and fixing her lip stick.

Ryan blinked up from Ally to Jade, then back down to the milk she was still trying to fit in the fridge. There was barely any space due to the large amounts of uneaten yogurt they, for some reason, still kept around.
“I’ll make drinks,” Ryan said calmly, running a hand through her hair as she watched the milk slowly begin to fall out of the place she shoved it in. She took out a few yogurts, shut the door, and put them in the freezer instead. She turned around, leaning on it.
“What is everyone feelin’ like?” Ry asked. She was relatively good at making cocktails, even though she didn’t drink. She had taught herself at a young age, which probably wasn’t the best impression, but she had found she had a knack for it.

Ally kept her cheeky smile on her face, “nah! We’re fixing something! Well, feel free to bring any drinks you want” She hummed before waving Freya goodbye “lookin good!” She says whistling at her.

She turned to Ryan, then to the ceiling thinking “whatever you want. Ive got tequila and a few other things in there too” she shrugged. Now to decide what to make.
“Hey Jade! What’s your favorite meal? We’ll fix that tonight?” She asked leaning over the counter before she sat on it, waving her feet back and forth.

Freya winked back at her and ran a hand through her hair. "I'm going to bring some pineapple infused Vodka. My last date said it was good and I'm not one to turn down new drinks." She laughed and put her lipstick and phone back in her purse. "Brb bitches." She waved, blowing a kiss and putting on her heels. She walked out the door and to the nearby cafe, where her fate would be picking her up.

Ryan paid no mind to anything anyone said, going to the alcohol cabinet where she stashed the majority of what she used. She drew out a few bottles and a shaker, getting to work. She knew the girls’ tastes well enough to know what to make, except for Jade’s.
She turned around, hands still working on cutting a lime. Her amber eyes locked on Jade.
“What kind of drinks do you like?” she asked, although her voice seemed stiff and ceased to fluctuate.

Making an o shape with her lips, she nodded. Ryan but called Ry, bingo. Ally, Freya, Ry, and ,herself, Jade. Perfect! Jade tried to resist squeezing the corners of the box. It's a habit of hers to squeeze her hands or whatever is close when she's very enthusiastic. The smile on her face revealed her teeth before her lips dropped as she nodded to Ally about the room and making dinner.

Jade smiled at Freya giving her a quick thumbs up. In the corner of her eye, she caught the mirror wondering if she looked okay. "Oh ummm…", she bit her lip trying to think of a meal,"Would you guys like firecracker chicken? It's the first thing I though of, but it's okay if you don't want to."

Ally hopped off of the counter and picked up the box “firecracker chicken it is! Ive never cooked that but hey, first time for everything! Do we have a recipe or does anyone know how to make it?” She asked before turning back to Jade.
“Well hey, wanna get to your room before we start cooking? You should probably get settled in” she laughed a little bit.
Allison led her down the small hallway and into a room right next to hers.
Opening the door, there was a good sized bed, a desk in one of the corners with a cute desk lamp and in front of it the window. A decent sized closet, a shelf on the wall near the desk and a nightstand next to the bed. It was bare, plenty of room for it to be customized how she wanted.
“Here it is!!” She says setting the box on the bed and spinning in a circle with her arms out

“I know how to make it,” Ryan called after Ally, still making the drinks. Though as she got everything out and prepared, she left it, instead grabbing one of the recipe books from the shelves. She opened it to the firecracker chicken— or something seemingly adjacent to it— leaving a sticky note where the recipe started.
After doing so, she went back to work, taking the shaker and filling it with ice.

"Sweet! I'll follow after you.", she nodded. Adjusting the strap on her bag, Jade turned to follow Ally into the hallway.

Jade walked in a circle as she looked around her new room. It's just perfect, might look a little bland but it'll be awesome when she decorates it! The strap from her purple duffel bag slipped off when she gently sat a box down. "This is so cool!", she exulted before sprinting over and collapsing on the bed. A couple strands of hair fell in front of her face, but who cares?

Realizing the rest of her stuff in her car, she rolled her eyes. She had to admit that she felt a little comfy on the bare bed. Jade glimpsed over at Ally with smile before sitting up.

She was absolutely adorable, she'll give her that.
"Well I'll leave you here to get settled in, and I'm gonna go make dinner! You can help if you like!" She says before heading out, leaving her to settle in. She didnt want to be too clingy and annoying
Stepping into the kitchen and sneaking up on Ry, poking her in the sides before stepping back quickly so she didnt get punched

Ryan acted like the pokes didn’t even happen, resisting the urge to smile. Her face stayed stoic as she did so, not even turning around to face Ally.
“I got the page out for you,” she said, voice relatively monotone. “Chicken’s on the top shelf of the fridge.”
She quietly went back to the drinks, getting out a few glasses and filling them with ice. She gingerly began pouring them, a beautiful sunset orange liquid seeping between the cubes. She slipped a lime on the rim and handed one of the glasses over to Ally.
“Taste tester,” she murmured. “Howsit?”

"Awe come on you're no fun" she says with an exasperated sigh before getting the ingredients, turning to Ry once again.
"I know you wanted to smile" she smiled brightly before taking the glass and drinking it.
"Yummy! Taste it yourself" she nudged her
