(just to explain my absences, since I know they can get annoying: I'm really, REALLY busy with two jobs, school, and personal obligations. A lot of times I can't even open notebook, since I have to be so focused. So while I will try my best, I cannot promise super consistency. Is that okay with you? If a week passes, then please bump the thread, since there's a chance it may have gotten buried, but otherwise, I still remember you, I'm just super booked ^^)
Rig looked up in surprise, blinking at the man walking towards him. The man had an odd accent he couldn't place, but he was sure he'd never heard it before.
And I've been around, he thought to himself. he continued forwards, offering a slight wave.
"Uh, hey! How ya?"
(Its fine, my guy)
"I'm doing just fine myself, yes indeedy!" Vozreal replied to the man. Vozreal looked him up and down, scanning him to see what to sell him. After a minute, he figured it out.
"Do you need some pain relief? Because I have a lot of medicines and drugs that could help a lot with it!" Vozreal concluded.
Rig's hesitated, wondering if it was that obvious. Maybe he had been limping without noticing it. "Ah, no thanks. I'm fine. Just a little stiff."
He shifted slightly, trying to ignore the way his joints creaked and loose bones grated against each other.
Probably fairly noticeable, he conceded ruefully.
The man's bone could be heard creaking. "My good sir, your bones are creaking. Are you sure you're fine?" Vozreal asked.
"I have everything a man (or woman) could ask for!"
Rig winced. Crap, he grumbled to himself. Damn arthritis.
"Nahh, I'll be fine," he said. "Thanks though pal. Hey, I don't think I caught your name?"
"My name's Vozreal! And you?" He really wanted to help the man.
"Rig," he said, giving the man a friendly, short nod. "Good to cross ya, I guess."
"Wait!" Vozreal said. He wished for some company, and it was also cery dangerous on this roads.
"Can I come with you?" Vozreal asked.
He really needed some protection, after he had made that Deal with Azrael.
"Where ya headed?" Rig asked, shifting to rest his weight on his other leg.
"Oh, I'm just travelling mate, what about you?"
"Ahhh, yeah." Rig waved his hand. "Same, pretty much. You can hang out if ya want."
"Okay!" They decided to walk together.
"So, Rig… Where you from?" Vozreal asked.
"Waaaayyyy up north," Rig replied. "We're talking taiga and tundra kinda stuff, in the arctic. Region called Aup'a. What about yourself? I've been traveling a long time, never heard an accent like yours before."
"I come from a town called Paradox Vortex. No one there has my accent though. Its unique to me only. Whats your favourite type of music?"
"Interesting," Rig says, raising an eyebrow. "I guess I'm good with most stuff, music isn't super important to me. Wouldn't say I have a favorite."
"Okay… What do you do for a living?"
"I fight. 'Bout all I'm good for," Rig said with a laugh. "Ring fights, mainly. It's pretty fun. What about yourself?"
"I'm a merchant, myself. I consider myself one of the best in the world, able to sell fire to a man on the sun."
In the distance, there were several people looking for trouble.
"Huh. Whadda ya sell?" Rig glanced forwards, not too concerned about the distant figures yet. They were still plenty far away, they'd get there soon enough.
"Anything and everything. I got pain meds, to chains, to TVs, etc." The figures were getting closer
"Oh, well." Rig stopped walking, watching the figures get closer. If it was trouble they wanted, they'd have to put in the extra effort for it. "What the hell is a TV?"
"Well… A TV is like a thing for watching stuff. Easiest way I can describe it to you."
They were closer.
"That sounds….Huh. Yeah, can't picture it." He folded his arms as the people finally reached them, stepping to the side slightly to let them pass, should they choose. Maybe they'll just head on by, he thought to himself. He sure wasn't going to start anything.
Bam! An attack. Vozreal was stabbed in the back.
He regenerated it, however.
"Fool," Vozreal said as he lashed out at the people who attacked him and his pal, Rig, "Don't you know who I am?!" Rig was also attacked.
"Woah there," Rig said, taking a step back to avoid the strike. He grabbed the man's wrist and wrestled him to the ground, pinning him there as he waited for Vozreal to finish the rest of them off.
Two tentacles came out of each of Vozreal's sides and grabbed two of them. He then flung them against a tree really hard, making them unconscious.
There were 5 guys in total.
Rig raised an eyebrow, still pinning his own opponent. "Looks like you got this, but uh…let me know if you need any help."
"Yeah, I could use some help, just knock that guy out cold!" Vozreal said as he grabbed a third guy and made him go mad just by looking into his eyes.
Rig remained unmoved for a moment longer. "I mean…you don't seem to fussed. If it's alright with you, I'd like to ask this guys a couple questions after you get done there, but if you really need me, I can do it later and help you."
Vozreal grabbed the last guy and slammed him onto the ground.
"Done."
