Halm hesitated, then nodded.
"That might help him," he said gently. "It might help you too."
Halm hesitated, then nodded.
"That might help him," he said gently. "It might help you too."
"But later… wanna hang out with you for a while. And you can change me back into a human whenever you want to…"
"Alright then," Halm said softly. He held Nix close. He was relieved.
"When ever you want to."
Nix nodded a bit. "Okay… maybe we can try tomorrow? I think he's gonna be upset with me at least all day…"
"Alright then, tomorrow." Halm gently scratched to top of Nix's head.
"I'm sure he'll be calmer."
"Mm… can… can you just hold me for a while?" Nix asked softly, trying to move even closer.
"Okay then," Halm said gently. Halm wrapped himself around Nix again, arms tight aroubd him and his head bent down to rest on Nix's. They were as close as could be now, right against each other.
Nix purred weakly, nuzzling up against Halm with his ears turned back. He closed his eyes and sighed quietly. "I'm sorry…" He mumbled.
"It's okay," Halm said. He reached up to scratch Nix again lightly. He really didn't want. Nix to feel bad anymore. He wanted Nix to be okay.
Nix nestled his head against Halm's chest and moved up closer to his face, sleepily licking his cheek after a minute or two and nuzzling against him, purring all the while.
(When Halm forgets that he is a literal cat)
(lol)
Halm was a bit surprised, but it did make sense. He smiled softly, scratching behind Nix's ears.
Nix purred quietly, smiling a bit when Halm scratched behind his ears. He nuzzled closer, seeming to relax a bit.
Halm let out a small breath. Nix was more relaxed, thank goodness. He kept scratching Nix, moving from his ears to under his chin.
Nix's purring jumped in volume for a second and he tilted his chin up, clearly pleased. He curled his tail up a bit and smiled more brightly.
Halm gave a small smile. Nix was cheering up. He kept scratching Nix, touch light. This was nice. They didn't have to think about how… how much Cas hated them.
Nix yawned and stuck his tongue out a bit as he relaxed, basically just letting Halm support all of his weight by now.
"Are you okay? Are you feeling any better?" Cas asked Zachary softly as he huddled close to him.
Halm didn't mind, smiling as he held Nix. God he was adorable.
"I am," Zachary admitted. He held Cas close, letting out a sigh.
"Thank you. For having Halm heal me."
Nix soon curled up against Halm's chest, far more relaxed and quickly beginning to drift off to sleep.
Cas nodded and sighed softly in relief, tucking his head under Zachary's chin. "No problem… I'm glad it worked. Nix is probably really upset, though…"
"Probably," Zachary agreed. "He's probably not used to you being mad at him, not like this. I'm sure… I'm sure Halm's comforting him, though. They've gotten very close." Zachary rubbed Cas's back a little, holding him close.
Cas nodded again. "I don't think Nix actually understands what he's doing… like, he and Halm act like they're dating, but I think Nix is just really affectionate. I mean, he's a cat. He doesn't really understand the specificities of dating."
"It does seem that way. Perhaps Halm will explain it to him, because it very much does seem like Halm is falling for Nix." Zachary sighed, hugging Cas a bit.
"It'll be interesting to see."
"Yeah… I mean, I never would have guessed that my cat is gay, but hey. You learn something new every day, and I'm not exactly in a position to judge."
Zachary chuckled a little.
"No, I wouldn't have either! Ah well. It seems everyone here is gay," he joked lightly, keeping the mood up again. It was mostly to distract himself this time, from what had happened.
"Apparently. Well, I don't know anyone's specific sexuality other than my own, but everyone at least likes boys, even if they like other people too. Wait, what about your sister?"
"Dear goodness she's gayer than me," Zachary said with a chuckled. "I don't think we were in our lifetime before becoming gods, though. It's like Mother does it on purpose. Makes us this way, that is."
"Why?" Cas asked, confused. "Does she think it's some kind of punishment? It's… it's not really all that bad…"
"I don't think it's a punishment. My theory is that she doesn't want any demigods." Zachary sighed gently, rubbing Cas's back.
"Mm… I guess that makes sense." Cas sighed as well, burying his face in Zachary's chest. "Demigods could be problematic…"
"Yes. Besides… Mother likes control," he said, voice barely above a whisper. Zachary held Cas close, sighing softly.
"We have to work hard to keep her happy.'
Cas nodded a bit. "Halm had mentioned that she's not very nice… what all does she do?" He asked.
