She shrugged. "Hey man, it's not my fault my ma invited me up there. Don't they show the stats where you are?"

"I left early." Derix mumbled before raising his voice back to it's normal volume. "Oh yes, you and your 'ma'. You think you're such a special snowflake sitting up with your mommy with all the high powered people."

Artemis scoffed. "Not really, she doesn't give me that much money. Why do you think I'm a hunter? Anyway, I'm not a snowflake."

"Uh huh. Right." Derix shook his head. "Whats with the modesty?"

"Listen pal, I'm trying to be nice. I've noticed you're good at hunting and thought that you might like a chance to get it big." She said.

Derix stopped in his tracks and looked back at her. "I'm listening."

She smiled. "There's a gala going on tonight. Remember those twins you brought in?"

"Twins….oh yes them. Right." Derix often forgot who he brought into the arena.

"Well they're a sensation! Real great! The Game Master wanted to know who dunnit and I thought the best opportunity would be to introduce you at the gala. A bit of a debut into the money bags ring."
(I like to think certain ones fight at different times. That way they don't wear out fast.)

Derix nodded. "Consider me there."
(I have to go now bye!)

Artemis nodded. "Right. What've you got for nice clothes? I can take you somewhere if you need something."

"I have my own money, I'll be fine." Derix had come this far without losing his pride, he could survive a little longer.

Artemis nodded. "It's a masquerade, so make sure to wear a mask." She winked. "See you tonight."

(people don't know that they took the serum yet, since Sam was not known to have bought serum recently. And they were rescued from the fire by firefighters, so everyone was like, hey, this person got mortally wounded and didn't use their powers to escape, must be a regular person! Plus, they're the child of a Council member, so yeah, more credibility. They find out if you have the serum by using spy serum dealers who find out who bought it. But they didn't use the system before Sam bought it, so… sorry, should have included that in the intro)

(I hope those show up. They're pretty spot on except the dress has a more full skirt and it's fuchsia.

(The dress is a bit more fuchsia and just a little less of a deep neckline.)

Derix sighed. "Yeah, I'll be there…" He trailed off as he left Artemis, making his way back to the city. He had no idea where to start looking for an outfit. Maybe I can rent something. That way I don't have to find a place to keep it afterwards. Derix liked that idea. He made his way down the street until he saw a shop with dresses and tuxedos displayed in the front window. Perfect.
