"Then we'll just have a new body made. It'll be just like this one, just newer. You'll remember everything, it'll be just like before." Halm sat up fully now, holding Nix close.
"And when Cas is reborn, he won't remember anything. He won't get triggered by anything anymore, because for that life he wouldn't have been hurt."
Nix nodded a bit. "We'll still have to protect him… we wouldn't want him to develop any triggers. Oh! And we'll teach him how to read and write and do normal people things! You'll have to help with that since I don't know either."
Halm nodded.
"He'll get a normal child hood. Well, as much as we can give him one here." He smiled softly, looking down at Nix and Cas.
"And you'll both get to learn. We'll be a family."
"Sounds good to me." Nix purred, nuzzling against Halm's chest with his eyes closed. "We'll be like his dads or something."
Halm smiled at that, a little color coming to his face.
"Yeah, his dads…" Hearing that made him happy on the inside. He rubbed Nix's head gently, thinking to himself.
"I bet we'll be a hell of a lot better than his actual dad, who technically doesn't exist now or something since I ate his memories… is that how that works?"
"He shouldn't," Halm said, "but I have no real idea. I've never done something like this before." Halm shrugged a little. "What I do know, however, is that there's no way he'll ever be in Cas's life again."
(Idea- what if the memories Nix is eating start haunting him, but he doesn't tell Halm because he wants to keep destroying everyone that's hurt Cas, but it really takes a toll on him?)

Nix nodded a bit. "That's all that matters, honestly…" He sighed a bit. "That's our goal. We're getting rid of everyone who ruined Cas's life on earth to make sure he never encounters them again. Do you think we're on the news yet?"

"Might be," Halm said with a little smirk. "It was a really gruesome death. The news would eat it up." He nodded a little.
"We'll definitely be once we go after the others. And as long as they're all destroyed, I won't care what people think of us."
"Well, it's not like they can arrest us. We can teleport to and from the underworld at will." Nix snickered. "You have no idea how long I've considered doing something like this. The next guy I want to go after was even worse than the first."
"They'll never catch us," Halm agreed. "Oh, is that so? Then he'll get an even worse death." Halm rubbed the top of Nix's head, thinking of ways to torture the man.
"Any suggestions?"
"What's the worst you can think of? This guy wasn't even Cas's boyfriend. He just stumbled across him on the street, took him out to dinner, and then brought him back to his place just to rape him. I want him dead."
Halm's gaze dimmed dangerously.
"What about a taste of his own medicine? He trick him into trusting us, they we bring him here to torture him."
"Mm. We'd have to make sure Cas doesn't hear. While he obviously hates these guys, he doesn't exactly like torture or murder all that much."
"Well, if we take him back to the caves… " Halm thought a moment. "Cas wouldn't be able to hear, and the healing properties of the water there could mean we could do more without the man dying…" Halm nodded. It would make sense for Cas to not like torture and murder. He patted Nix's head.
"True." Nix hummed thoughtfully. "We'll just have to make sure we don't tell him because that could ruin the caves for him. He quite likes them at the moment."
Halm nodded.
"Our little secret," he agreed. "I've already had to take away bad memories of the caves. I don't want to do it again."
"Mhmm…" Nix sighed softly. "We'll get rid of them all soon enough…" He ruffled Cas's hair affectionately.
Halm smiled, nodding.
"They'll learn that no one can get away with hurting him…" he looked down at Cas's sleeping form, tucking him in a bit more.
"Yep… wanna watch the news or something to see if they've found the guy's body yet?" He asked, leaning into Halm a bit.
"Sure, why not. The television is out in the living room though." Halm put his arm back around Nix, lightly rubbing his back.
"Mm… okay. I guess there's no way to bring it in here?" He asked, purring softly when Halm pet him.
"We could," Halm noted. "Doyou think the noise would wake Cas up though? I don't think it would be good for him to hear about this. He'd wonder why we're curious." Halm smiled a little though, unable to help it when Nix purred.
"Mm, true… I'm just worried to leave Cas alone, you know?" Nix sighed, nuzzling up against Halm affectionately.
Halm nodded.
"I am too." He lifted his hand up to Nix's head, rubbing him gently.
"I'm that if we keep the volume low it shouldn't affect him, and if he does wake up we can just say we're curious as to what's going on on Earth."
"Alright…" Nix pushed his head into Halm's hand and closed his eyes, relaxing and purring softly. "Sounds good to me."
Halm stayed there a moment more, petting Nix, before gently lifting Nix out of his lap and standing to get the television.
"I'll be back in a moment," he said, stepping out.
Nix nodded and settled himself under the covers to be more comfortable while he waited for Halm to return with the TV.
Halm took a moment to turn the television on before taking to the bedroom, turning the volume down. He turned it off again, unhooking it from the wall and carefully bringing it to the bedroom. He set it on the desk across from the bed, taking the remote with him when he settled back down on the bed. He switched the television on, turning it to the news.
Nix huddled up against Halm, purring softly as he looked up at the screen. The weather was on at the moment, but the real news would happen soon.
