Cassidy shook her head giggling softly, "No you're not a bother!"
She smiled, "Really you don't need to apologize, I've actually never been to this camp before," Cassidy's accent was obvious as she spoke, is grew stronger when ever she was flustered, "Have you?"
Come on Cas keep it together, It's just a cute boy, no need to fall apart She thought as she stood up sticking the whistle back in her pocket. "I'm not sure what we're supposed to do now."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Calum lifted his head, giving her a surprised look. He really had thought he would bug her. Yet it turns out, that wasn't the case. "I- I've never been either." He admitted, his tone still soft. As he stood there, he tried to figure out what kind of accent she had.
It wasn't one he had heard before, so it would be a lot harder to figure out on his own. He didn't want to just ask her.
"I think we have free time, to roam the grounds until dinner. Or unpack, whichever you feel like doing first." Calum offered his opinion with a little shrug. He was trying to ignore how cute he found her, and it was working alright. "Or both if you have the time. I'm pretty sure they call everyone in for dinner, over to that big building over there."

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy walked over to the boy and stood on her tip toes trying to get a better view of the building he was talking about.
"I guess I was a bit spaced out when finding my way over here I didn't even notice the building." She said softly, slightly embarrassed that she hadn't realized it was there. She stood contemplating for a moment before, "Would you like to go explore then?" She looked down at her feet realizing how forward she was being. "That is, if you wouldn't mind, I can always, you know." She trailed off giving up on the messy spattering of words that had escaped her mouth.

Calum glanced back at her, smiling a little when she started trying to explain herself.
"I'd love to, if you really want to." He replied, knowing he should have worded it better. But what was said, was said. With a little smile, he offered her a hand of greeting. "I'm Calum, by the way. Though I'll go by whatever you feel like calling me. I don't typically care."
Waiting for her to take his hand, he half studied her face to remember it. Once he was given a name, he was going to be sure he remembered it. For sure he wanted to get close to her, even from the past two minutes he already knew that.

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy took his hand and gave him a firm hand shake before pulling away, "I wouldn't tell me that if I were you, I can think of some pretty embarrassing nicknames, I'm Cassidy."
She grinned and began walking towards the Building, Admiring the green tree's, Using all of her self control to not climb them.
"Is there an Initiation of some sort?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"I'll expect the worse, then." He hummed with a light laugh.
"Though about the Initiation, I'm not sure. Probably tonight at dinner." Calum hummed a little, leading her on down the path. "We could always ask a counselor, if we find one while we walk."
Pursing his lips up into a small smile, he glanced down at her. She seemed so excited, and he thought she looked pretty cute.

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy glanced over at Calum right as he did the same, She quickly flicked her eye's back to the nature around them.
She Sighed lightly, looking at a particularly good climbing tree.
"Go you climb Tree's Sir Calum? She asked suddenly looking over at him once more.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

He had gone a little numb for a moment, so when she spoke it brought him back. Though his brain hadn't seemed to pick up what she had said. Not right away, at least.
"Trees? I mean, I haven't in awhile. But that might be due to the fact that I don't live around very many." Calum explained, looking down at her. "Why do you ask?" Asking in a soft tone, he watched and waited for her response.

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy sighed once more as they passed the good climbing tree.
"No reason, I was merely curious."
Silence over took them as Cassidy had run out of things to say.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Hearing her sigh, Calum gave her a little frown. "You're sure? You seem… depressed, I guess."
Calum glanced back to where they had just walked, noting the trees. That must have been what brought her interest in climbing them.
"I'll stop bugging you, if it's really nothing."

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy Scrunched up her face for a moment contemplating before, "I'll be right back."
She sprinted back to the tree's and began pulling her self up into the branches. Once she was a solid height above the ground she hooked her legs around a branch and dangled upside down from it. She couldn't help but laugh, both from the silliness of it all and at herself for her behavior.
(I'm so sorry My terminology keeps switching up I've just started reading Pride and Prejudiced and it's rubbing off on me)

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

(It's alright, ahah.)

When she ran off, Calum became confused. Turning around, he watched her climb the tree, and smiled when she hung upside down.
"I would have stopped if that's what you wanted." He insisted, jogging up to her. "It's not like we were really going anywhere." Adding on, he shrugged a little as he came to the base of the tree.
"Is there enough room for me to climb up there, too?"

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy giggled swinging back and forth slightly, smiling at him as he approached "Of course there's room."
She righted herself looking down at him, "The real question is can you get up here."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"As a matter of fact," Calum hummed, starting to pull himself up. "I can get up there."
Once he was fully up, and stable, he gave her a satisfied smirk and crossed his arms over his chest. He was mighty proud of himself, for making it up the tree. "Told you so."

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy walked along the branch towards him, "It would appear so." She commented as she reached him. They were quite close together now.
Cassidy smirked reaching up to grab hold of a branch just above them, " But just how High up can you get?" She asked a mischievous look in her eye.
With that she hoisted her self up onto the next branch up and began to climb higher.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Calum glanced up at her, his smile fading a little. "You sure that's a good idea?"
He didn't seem so sure, considering he was significantly larger than her. Both in height and weight, and both of those were clear from just looking between the two. He didn't want to pull up on a weak branch, and have it snap with both of them on it. For his and her sake, he didn't move yet. There was the chance, and he wasn't sure he was willing to take it.
"I don't want either of us getting hurt. I've fallen from a few feet off the ground, and the after effects aren't really fun."

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy pouted, looking down at him from her position in the tree's. She situated her self much like a cat, laying on an upper branch looking down.
"I suppose you're right, That automatically declares me as the winner of this tree climb." She said with a winning smiled before making her way back down to the branch he was on.
"Sorry I can get a bit competitive at times, I didn't mean anything by it." She sat down on the branch swinging her feet back and forth gently. It was then she noticed the view from where they were, The sun brushing the horizon sending a golden glow over the tree tops. Cabins speckled the area with Campers milling about. She seemed almost entranced by it for a moment, "Woah, Look at the view from here."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Watching her, he kept up a little smile when she sat down besides him.
"No need to be sorry…" He told her in a quiet tone, looking back out to the view she had mentioned. His smile only pulled up, and he nodded his agreement. It really was gorgeous, and he couldn't deny it. Shifting his gaze from the golden hills, to her face highlighted by the same light, he felt a tight knot grow in his chest.
It was strange, the way he was feeling around her. So what, if she was super cute, and sweet? Anyone could tell that, from bumping in to her. He had convinced himself that much, at least. But now, his immediate response was- 'She's attractive.' He couldn't get it out of his head.
Noting he had been starring at her, he flicked his gaze back out on the view. "You- it's gorgeous."

@Relsey-TheElder

"It really is, Oh Look!" Cassidy pointed out a large bird in the sky, " What do you think it is?" She questioned. Did he say I was Gorgeous and then try to cover it up? or was that one of those times when you start saying something but then Switch what you're going to say after you start talking or…
Her hand lightly brushed against Calum's as she brought it back to rest on the Branch.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

'I swear… I need to be a little less careless with my words…' Sighing softly, he looked up to try and answer her question. Not knowing much about birds, he gave a little shrug. "Not sure…"
His voice had started to trail, and his mind focused on the soft touch of her hand. The knot in his throat was growing, and it was getting harder to stay relaxed. Whatever this feeling was, he would have appreciated it, if it would go away. He didn't need this, falling in love with a girl at a summer camp- if that's what it was. Not now. He was suppose to be having a miserable time.
"What kind of birds… are normally up in the mountains?"

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy flipped back upside down, "Well, It could be a Hawk, or an Eagle, I'm not a Bird expert though. My Mom's crazy about them, we usually go on at least one Bird watching adventure when I visit."
Cassidy swung upside down, looking at the world from this strange angle, "Do you think they'll be calling us for dinner soon?"

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Her sudden movements caught him off guard, and he subconsciously reached out to grab her. Though he stopped himself, when she seemed to be steady. "Oh, alright. I just thought you might be into it, since you asked." Calum hummed softly, trying to make a recovery.
He was so jumpy, which wasn't fun. He wasn't usually like this. But of course, when he was trying to leave a good impression, he was a nervous mess.

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy righted her self, laughing slightly, "Calum, not being an expert doesn't mean I don't like them. It just mean's I don't know everything."
She noticed Calum's nervous nature," Hey, you know, If being here at camp ever get's particularly lonely we can always stick together." She interpreted it as first day at a new place nerves however.
As the sun dipped under the horizon, the world around began to dim.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

Calum turned his head when she spoke his name, and was hooked to all of her words. "I know that. I just- I dunno." He shrugged a little to her first remark.
"Though I'd like that, if you wouldn't mind hanging around me." He hummed softly, starting to climb down out of the tree. "But for now, we should probably head back. It's starting to get dark, and I'm sure dinner is soon. We don't want to be the last ones there."

@Relsey-TheElder

" Why would I ask if I didn't want to?" Cassidy replied scrambling down the tree.
She seemed to be growing tense as the Sun went lower on the horizon. "Heading back is probably a good idea," She commented as her feet reunited with the ground, "I would not like to be caught the last at Dinner on our first day."

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"I dunno. Matter of doubt, I guess." Calum shrugged a little, starting to head back to where they came from.
He had a small smile on, as he lightly jogged backwards. His carefree, and more relaxed attitude coming back as they distanced from each other. "Since you're competitive, why not we race back? Loser buys the winner a snow-cone sometime this week?"

@Relsey-TheElder

Cassidy pretended to think about it as she jogged to catch up.
"I suppose that works out…. Ready Go!" She picked up her speed whisking past him, She had the advantage of facing forward, and the added adrenaline of, the faster she went, the sooner she would be where it was well lit.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

"Hey!" Calum laughed, turning around and picking up his pace. "No fair!"
Shouting after her was futile, the only way he was going to win was if he kept running. Picking up his pace, he turned his jog in to a full sprint as he made his way after her. He didn't really question her sudden burst of speed, he just assumed it was her trying to beat him.

@Relsey-TheElder

(I love how both of them are misinterpreting the other's actions, it's great)
"You never said it had to be fair!" She shouted back.
She was a swimmer after all, and while that sport was in the water, a fair amount of the muscles were used in running.

@Rainy_day_artist_classic group

(Ahah, agreed.)

Huffing a little bit, he continued running. The sound of gravel under his feet kept him from sinking into his thoughts. She was going pretty fast, so he didn't want to get distracted and fall behind. He'd lose a lot of distance that he was gaining.
"But I never said you could make it unfair!" He shouted out, finally coming up with a reply to her comment.
