"Mhmm…" Lucas huddled close to Melissa, still smiling. "I wish we could just stay here forever…"

"Once we get a puppy, we can come back. It'll be even better, then." Melissa grinned before lightly kissing his cheeks.

"Yep~" Lucas returned the kisses, smiling more brightly. "I bet it'll like it here."

"I mean, it's outside. I suggest we keep it away from the water, though." Melissa hummed a little, still smiling. "We don't want the poor thing to go swimming."

"True." Lucas laughed and rested his head against Melissa's shoulder. "I'm really excited. My heart is pounding."

"Is it?" Melissa hummed, resting her hand on his chest to feel his beating heart. "Goodness, you're right. I'm happy I could do this for you."

"Mhmm." Lucas nuzzled into Melissa's hair, grinning helplessly. "I feel all buzzy, honestly."

"Do you want to find something to do with that energy?" Melissa asked with a light laugh, not pulling away from him.

"Like what?" Lucas asked, confused. "I'm not supposed to climb the cliff again because I'll probably get hurt…"

“I mean, we could go for a walk. Isn’t there a playground somewhere in the park?” Melissa hummed softly, pecking his cheek.

"Oh! Yeah, I think so." Lucas pulled himself to his feet and held his hand out to Melissa again.

Melissa grinned, pulling herself up close to him. “Mm, you lead the way. You know the park better than I do.”

"Alrighty." Lucas led Melissa through the trees, passing through the clearing as they went.

As they walked, she held on to his hand tightly, resting her head on his shoulder. Melissa was quiet once again, a smile up on her face.

Lucas led Melissa out of the forest, humming softly to himself and brushing his fingertips along the trunks of the trees he passed. Soon enough, the reached the main path in the park.

Melissa flicked her gaze up to his face, sighing softly. "I love you…" She said lightly, disrupting the silence between them.

"I love you too, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek softly and walked along the path with her, smiling contentedly.

"I honestly love being here… especially with you." Melissa admitted, whispering her immediate thoughts. "It's just… peaceful."

"Mm… yeah. I feel the same." Lucas pulled Melissa closer and nuzzled against her cheek affectionately.

Scrunching her nose up, she pulled away with a light laugh. "Stopppp~" Melissa whined playfully, giving him him a grin.

"You don't like it?" Lucas asked, pouting playfully. "Why won't you accept my loooooove?"

"Because your love ticklesss~" Melissa hummed in return, leaning over to peck his lips. "Otherwise I wouldn't be whining."

Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully and returned the kiss, pressing another couple to Melissa's cheek. "But I wanna looooove you." He whined.

"But you already do loooooove me." Melissa laughed lightly, burying her face into his shoulder. "I know you do."

"But I wanna express my love to you." Lucas nuzzled into Melissa's hair, holding her close.

"Whyyyyy though?" Melissa whined again, leaning in to him. "I know you love me.~"

"I wanna make sure you know it, Mel. What kind of boyfriend would I be if I never expressed my affection for you?"

"A pretty crappy one…" Melissa mumbled, lifting her head a little. "I'm whiny though. You know that I'm not actually bothered by it, right?"

"I know, I know… I just like to tease you, darling." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek again and smiled softly.

Melissa smiled back, returning his kiss. "Mm, I can get by that. You're too cute to be upset with, anyways."
