"Mhmm. Just still trying to wake up…" Lucas yawned a bit and set the pizza box on the counter. "How should I heat it up?"
"Mhmm. Just still trying to wake up…" Lucas yawned a bit and set the pizza box on the counter. "How should I heat it up?"
"Mm, we can always put it on a tray and stick it in the oven for a bit." Melissa hummed lightly, sipping from her water. "I can do it, if you don't want to."
"Um… sure. I'll grab some… uh… plates." Lucas left the pizza on the counter and went over to the cabinets to grab some plates.
Brushing off his odd behavior, Melissa picked the box up and pulled a tray out of one of the lower cabinets. Once she had put the pizza on the tray, she picked it up and slid it into the oven after pre-heating it.
Lucas set the plates on the counter and leaned against it, watching the oven curiously even though the pizza wouldn't be done for a while.
Melissa turned around to face him, her focus fully on him. "You're sure you're alright? You're being weird, and you're worrying me. Maybe I'm crazy, but you seem off."
"Sorry, sorry… I'm kinda frazzled right now and distracted and I'm not really sure why…" Lucas sighed softly. "I can't really think straight."
"Are you still tired? Do you want to go back to bed?" Melissa asked softly, coming up and wrapping her arms around his waist.
"Um… I think I'm okay… I've slept long enough." Lucas sighed, resting his head against Melissa's. "I'm just having a lot of trouble focusing for some reason…"
"Do you just want to try eating something, and see what happens from there?" Melissa asked in a light tone, her worries about him only growing. "Or maybe have something to drink?"
"Yeah, eating might help… I'll just wait for the pizza to be done." Lucas yawned a bit and ran his fingers through his hair.
Melissa nodded softly, reaching up and gently running her thumb across his lips. "Just tell me if there's anything I can do. I wanna make sure you're alright."
"I'm okay, Melissa… really." Lucas kissed Melissa softly and stuck close to her side.
“I’m still worried about you…“ Melissa mumbled, holding on to him still. “But I guess I can’t do much about it.”
"Sorry… I didn't mean to worry you, Mel." Lucas sighed a bit, fidgeting a little as they waited for the pizza.
“It’s fine. I just wish I could help.” Melissa mumbled a little, taking his hand. “You wanna try sitting down?”
"Uh… sure, if you think it would help. My blood sugar is probably just low or something… no big deal." Lucas sat down at the table and sighed.
Melissa nodded a little, standing besides him when he sat down. Leaning against the table, she gently started playing with his hair. "I know, but until you eat I'm gonna be a little paranoid."
"I know, I know… sorry, Mel." Lucas sighed softly and relaxed into Melissa's touch. "I'll be alright."
"You don't need to be sorry. I'm just telling you." Melissa hummed before leaning over to kiss him softly. "If anything, I should be the one apologizing."
"Mm… you haven't done anything wrong, though." Lucas closed his eyes, fidgeting a bit with his hands.
"I'm probably bugging you with my paranoia. A little at least." Melissa whispered, as she gently continued to play with his hair.
Lucas shrugged. "It's warranted. I expect it considering how often I do things that are cause for worry."
"Don't tell me it doesn't bug you, even a little bit." Melissa said with a light laugh. "I swear, I'm going to eventually find the one thing that sets you off an not know how to react."
Lucas smiled softly. "It's very difficult to make me angry, darling. I don't think I've ever actually been angry around you before. I'm not sure how I'd react."
(Okay but I totally want someone to like, try to bully Melissa or something and Lucas would go o f f )
(Ahh- yes. We need angry Lucas at some point lol)(But like- what if it was her mom??)
Melissa laughed lightly, loosely crossing her arms. "What does make you angry? I'd like to avoid it, if possible." She hummed softly as she gave him a little smile.
(👀)
"Mm. I dunno. Maybe Claus always kicking the bottom of my bunk when we were kids. That really pissed me off." Lucas snickered a bit.
(Melissa and Mr. Brennahan would just be sitting there, both anxiously begging Lucas to stop in silence. Lol)
"Then I'll make sure not to do that," Melissa hummed with a light smile. "Shouldn't be too hard, at least. I've never actually owned a bunk-bed."
(He wouldn't actually hurt her mom lol. He would definitely stand between her and Melissa though and offer himself up instead. Maybe catch her fist to be cool lol)
"Yeah, I think you'll be alright, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa softly. "It takes a lot to get me legitimately angry, and I've grown even more mild over the years."
(Lol, probably :P)
"That's good to know. But I'm not going to try and test that theory." Melissa hummed a little, taking his hand. "I'm not sure either of us want to know what follows… I can be a tad over-dramatic when I'm frustrated. So I doubt anything good would happen."
