"Well, I assume so. Everything else seems pretty legit, so I don't know why they'd use fake pictures."
"Who knows. I just know some places do." Melissa hummed a little, resting her chin on his shoulder. "I should probably get dressed, if we're going out today, shouldn't I?"
"Yeah, probably… I'll go do the same." Lucas smiled softly before getting up and leaving Melissa's room.
Smiling a little, she got off her bed as well. "Love you~" Melissa called out softly, before walking up to her door and locking it.
"Love you too~" He called back. He headed down the stairs and changed into fresh clothes.
Once changed, Melissa pulled her door open before pulling her hair out to brush. She quietly hummed to herself, filing through the drawers on her desk.
Lucas stayed downstairs on the couch to wait for Melissa, texting the person who had listed the puppies to see when they could come take a look.
Melissa took one last glance in the mirror, before nodding a bit and making her way down the stairs. Glancing over to the couch, she felt a small smile pull up. "I'm gonna grab some water from the kitchen, you need anything?"
"No, m'alright…" Lucas replied quietly, clearly focused on the puppies at the moment. "They say we can come take a look this afternoon."
"Really? Well then I'll go get my dad up after I make coffee." Melissa hummed from the kitchen, doing as she had said.
Lucas nodded a bit, chatting a bit more with the dog person while Melissa was in the kitchen. "They seem pretty nice."
"That's a good sign." Melissa hummed, coming and leaning on the frame of the doorway. "Did they specifically what time they want us to come?"
"Um… three o'clock. Does that work for you?" Lucas asked, looking over at Melissa from the couch.
"As long as my dad is okay with it, then yeah." Melissa hummed, coming up and leaning over the back of the couch. "It's the weekend, so he doesn't have any work. Not to my knowledge at least."
Lucas nodded a bit, turning back to his phone to reply to the dog person. "We've already got their address from the site, so we should be good there."
Nodding a little, Melissa leaned over to peck his cheek. "Alright, works for me. We've got a little while until then, so what do we wanna do?"
"Um… anything is fine with me, to be honest. We could always go to the park again, but we've been going there a lot and it's okay if you wanna do something else…"
"I like going to the park, though." Melissa asked lightly, coming and sitting next to him on the couch. "As long as you're there, I'm happy going. Is that what you want to do?"
Lucas nodded, flushing lightly. "Yeah… I like it there a lot." He sighed and glanced away from Melissa.
"Then we can do that. We should be back here by two-thirty though." Melissa hummed a little before resting her head on his shoulder. "So we can grab some lunch."
Lucas nodded and rested his head against Melissa's. "We should probably wake up your father and tell him the situation, though. And where we're going."
"Mhmm. I'll do that in a minute." Melissa hummed softly, relaxing a bit. "I don't want to get up, yet."
"Alright…" Lucas closed his eyes and relaxed as well, taking Melissa's hand in his own.
“Mm, love you, Lu.” Melissa hummed softly, lifting her head enough to peck his cheek.
"Love you too, Melissa." Lucas returned the kiss and huddled close. "We can get up whenever you're ready."
“Mm, I wouldn’t say that. Otherwise we’ll be sitting here for forever.” Melissa mumbled, giving him a light smile.
"Well, we'll get up after a few minutes, then." Lucas kissed Melissa softly, smiling a bit.
Nodding in return, she wrapped her arms around his waist with a soft sigh. “Well, until then, I get to curl up with you.”
"Sure. If you want to." Lucas rested his head against Melissa's and held her close to himself.
“It doesn’t bug you, does it?” Melissa asked softly, pulling her legs up next to her. “I can stop if it does.”
