"We don't have to get up yet, I was just stating the facts." Melissa hummed, leaning back into the tree. "We can stay for a little longer, but I want to give you my present before you go to bed."
"We don't have to get up yet, I was just stating the facts." Melissa hummed, leaning back into the tree. "We can stay for a little longer, but I want to give you my present before you go to bed."
"Oh, right… I forgot about that. Should we do that now?" He asked, looking up at her curiously. "I can get up if you need me to."
Melissa shook her head, still smiling softly. "Mm, I'd rather do it when we're alone. Once everyone has gone home, I mean."
"Okay. Sounds good to me." Lucas yawned again and huddled up against Melissa. "Are there any other party games you want me to play?"
"I don't have anything." Melissa hummed softly, stretching her legs out. "But I mean, if you want to I can come up with something."
"No, that's alright. I'm happy to just sit here until everyone decides they want to leave." Lucas smiled softly.
Nodding a little, Melissa smiled back. "Alright, if you're sure." She hummed a little, pausing to think for a moment. "Once everyone leaves, I'll need to help clean up."
"I'll help too… the party's for me, after all. I should help clean it up." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek softly.
"You don't need to- really. It won't take very long, I don't mind doing it by myself." Melissa insisted, leaning into his kiss.
"But I wanna help, Mel…" Lucas lay his head on Melissa's shoulder and looked up at her. "Please?"
"Really? You really wanna help clean up?" Melissa asked with an amused smile. "If you really want to, I guess I can't stop you."
"I really do wanna help you." Lucas smiled softly and kissed Melissa's cheek again.
"Alright, fine. You can help me clean up, then." Melissa hummed before sinking down a little. "After that, we can head inside and get you your present."
Lucas nodded and sighed softly. "Sounds good to me, Mel. How much longer do you think the party will be?"
"Well, considering everyone has had cake, not much longer I presume." Melissa hummed, curling up closer to him.
"Cool." Lucas held Melissa close and hummed softly to himself. "Anything you wanna do until they leave?"
"Cuddle. I like this way more than I want to admit." Melissa mumbled, smiling up to him. "But if you had something else in mind, do tell."
"Nope. Cuddling sounds good to me." Lucas pulled Melissa closer and relaxed, smiling gently.
Grinning quite a bit, she adjusted herself so she could have both arms wrapped around his waist. "Mm, good…"
(Time skip?)
(That works for me! I'm assuming to the end of the night? Or even later on?)
(I'll just do after they're done cleaning ^^)
After Lucas and Melissa finished cleaning up the aftermath of the party, Lucas went over to her and sighed. "There we go. All done. Ready to go in?"
(Alright, cool)
"Mhmm… I'm really tired now." Melissa laughed lightly, yawning a bit. "Thanks again for helping."
"No problem, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa softly and took her hand to lead her back inside. "We can go to bed soon."
Smiling a little, she let him lead her on. "Mm, right. Where are we going once we get inside?"
"Um… to the couch, maybe? I'm not sure. You were pretty insistent on giving me a gift before we fall asleep."
"Mm, right. I think I left it up in my room, so you wouldn't find it." Melissa hummed, coming up next to him. "I can grab it, if you wanna stay in the living room."
"Okay. See you soon, then." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek and let go of her so he could go sit on the couch.
Once he had let her go, she quickly jogged up the stairs to her room. After pulling the small wrapped box out of one of the drawers in her desk, she quickly made her way back down the stairs into the living room. "Got it," Melissa chirped a little, coming around to sit next to him on the couch.
"What is it?" Lucas asked, curiously examining the box. After a second or two, he carefully opened it.
