Humming softly, she took it back to continue eating it. "Mm, alright. While the thought is fresh, would you want to come here after your first official game?"
Humming softly, she took it back to continue eating it. "Mm, alright. While the thought is fresh, would you want to come here after your first official game?"
"Sure! That'd be fun." Lucas grinned, biting into his waffle cone when he reached it.
"Alright, now I just have to remember." Melissa added on with a little laugh. "Shouldn't be too hard, at least."
"Mhmm. The first game is this Friday. I think we'll do okay…" Lucas sighed softly. "I was gone for a little longer than I'd have liked with the concussion. Apparently I made it worse when I fell down the stairs."
"Hey, it could have been worse. And you're fine right now. Just be careful until Friday, and everything will be fine." Melissa hummed, giving him a little smile.
"Hopefully, yeah." Lucas finished his ice cream cone and sighed again. "You almost ready to go?" He asked.
"Mm, give me just another minute." Melissa hummed, coming to the end. Dipping her finger in the ice cream, she reached across the table to flick ice cream on to his lips. "Looks like you got something on you," She joked, finishing off her ice cream before standing up. "Want me to get that for you?"
Lucas flushed a bit, about to rub off the ice cream if it weren't for Melissa's offer. "I-I… um… sure? You know, if you want to kiss me, you can just ask." He kissed Melissa softly.
"Mm," Melissa smirked a little, starting to pull back. "But I like finding excuses to kiss you. And you tasted just a little bit sweeter, that way." She insisted, pecking his lips once again.
Lucas flushed harder, looking away. "Yeah, yeah… I'm gonna have to get ice cream flavored lip balm or something to keep you happy, hmm?"
Melissa felt a smile creep up, and laughed. "Mm, dunno. Would you actually put it on, is the question."
"You'd probably make me, and I'd tolerate it." Lucas gently kissed Melissa again. "But probably not of my own accord."
"Well, I wouldn't make you. But I would be just the slightest bit happier if you did." Melissa hummed, taking his hand in her own. "You ready to head out?"
"Mhmm. I'm ready." Lucas smiled softly and linked his fingers with Melissa's. "To the park?"
"If that's where you wanna go, then yup!" Melissa chirped and picked up the box she left sitting on the table. "You know where to go?"
"Um… yeah. I think I can figure out how to get to the park from here." Lucas led Melissa out the door and looked around.
"Just ask if you need help." Melissa hummed, looking up at him with a bright smile.
"Alright…" Lucas looked around for something he recognized and soon began walking, humming softly to himself while he did so.
As they walked, Melissa glanced around with a more relaxed look. "You know, it's a lot better walking with you. It's not as lonely."
Lucas smiled softly. "Yeah… it's nice to not have to walk alone." He kept walking in the direction of the park.
Melissa let out a soft sigh, resting her head on him. "I honestly feel way more at ease, with you around."
"Me too." Lucas wrapped his arm around Melissa as they walked, maintaining his smile. "I love you~"
"I love you too, darling." Melissa hummed, looking up at him with a smile. "You're a lovely person to be around."
"You are as well, milady." Lucas purred, gently kissing Melissa's cheek. "I happen to greatly enjoy your company."
"Mm, I feel special now." Melissa hummed with a little smile. "One of my favorite people thinks I keep good company."
"Aww, I'm one of your favorite people?" Lucas kissed Melissa again. "I'll have you know that you're my number one favorite."
Melissa smiled a little, giving a soft kiss back. "If it weren't for my dad, who took care of you, and the few other people, you would be number one for sure."
Lucas smiled softly. "Yeah. Your dad's pretty cool. He's definitely a better father than my dad ever was."
Sighing softly, Melissa nodded a little. "Yeah, he is… isn't he?" She replied in a soft tone.
"Mhmm. I mean, if we had stairs at my house and I fell down them, my dad wouldn't give a damn. He'd probably be the one pushing me down." Lucas hummed thoughtfully.
