Gabe looked over at Alex. Why did he have to lie about this?
Gabe looked over at Alex. Why did he have to lie about this?
Alex let out a breath.
Gabe laid down finally, looking up at the sky.
Alex was quiet, laying on his back.
"Man this is nice," Gabe said. He looked over at Alex.
Alex nodded in agreement. "Mhm."
"I'm glad we're out of the house." Gabe smiled.
"Me too." Away from the ghost.
Thankfully, there were no ghosts hanging around here.
"Yeah…"
He glanced over at Gabe. "Thank you for all your help…"
"You're welcome," Gabe says, looking over at Alex. "I'm glad I've been able to."
Alex nodded a little bit, closing his eyes for a moment.
Gabe took this chance to look over Alex's face, smiling softly before looking away.
Alex opened his eyes again, looking up at the clouds floating in that blue, blue sky.
Gabe smiled a little, playing a game he had played with his mother.
"That one looks like a rabbit," he noted, pointing the cloud out.
He blinked, shifting to look. "Oh. It does." He agreed with a faint smile.
Gabe smiled.
"That one looks like you."
He frowned. "Which one?" He asked, confused.
"That one." Gabe pointed out a delicate looking cloud, shaped like the flower in Alex's hair. Still, it was a bit darker than the others. It looked delicate, but could easily start a storm. A hidden power.
"I think it looks amazing."
He blinked, examining the cloud carefully and wondering if there was some hidden subtext under Gabe's words.
Gabe looked over at Alex and smiled.
"Just like you." It just slipped out. Gabe closed his mouth, blushing way too much.
Alex blinked rapidly, looking over at Gabe with a blush on his pale cheeks. "I–" he didn't know how to take that. The last person who had said anything like that to him had been…had been Henry…
Gabe looked away, face entirely before red by now.
"Um-" Gabe didn't know what to do now.
Alex bit his lip slightly. "Why…are you saying that?" He asked.
""I-uh- I don't know," Gabe admitted. He glanced at Alex, face still red.
Alex blinked. "Oh."
Gabe sat up a little, face beet red.
"Um- sorry?" He said. He just didn't want Alex to be upset by his words.
Alex shrugged a little. "N-no, it's…it's fine, I…"
Gabe looked over at Alex again.
"You sure?" He asked quietly.
Alex shrugged. "If you are, I guess."
