"Maybe." Lucas laughed, pressing another soft kiss to Melissa's cheek. "It could be fun, theoretically."
"Maybe." Lucas laughed, pressing another soft kiss to Melissa's cheek. "It could be fun, theoretically."
"What if I dared you to do it?" Melissa hummed, pulling back with a teasing smirk. "Would you pull a 'you love me too much to do that' card?"
"Hmm…" Lucas considered for a few seconds. "Maybe, but it could be fun though~"
"It'd be better if you did it casually. Clearly you wouldn't be as lovey-dovey to them, as you are to me." Melissa hummed, spinning herself around with his hand.
"True. Maybe I should be like, 'Wow! Nice shot, babe!'" Lucas winked and snickered again. "They'd be so confused."
Melissa laughed lightly, pulling his arm over her shoulders. "And if you never brought it up again, they'd be even more confused. Though, could you actually do it?"
"Maybe. I'm pretty close to the guys, so I might be able to." Lucas rested his head on Melissa's shoulder.
"Then I really want to be there to see it happen." Melissa hummed, resting her head against his. "It won't be me just watching you flush, I can do that any time."
Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully. "I'll see what I can do, but I might get cold feet."
"I won't force this on you. Though I think it'll be interesting to watch." Melissa hummed, pecking the top of his head. "Don't feel pressured over this."
Lucas smiled softly. "Mhmm. Let's go on ahead to lunch, yeah?" He walked out of the sunflower field.
"Yeah, sounds like a good plan." Melissa hummed, letting him lead her on. "I'm pretty sure it's right out of the neighborhood, down on Finch Avenue."
Lucas nodded a bit and kept walking. "Alright. I think I can find it…"
Melissa smiled softly, pecking his cheek. "I'm sure you can."
Lucas flushed lightly and kept leading her along, matching her smile. "It's not far, is it?"
“What’s not, Lu?” Melissa cooed, resting her head on his shoulder with a soft sigh.
"The diner." Lucas kissed Melissa softly. "It isn't too far?"
“Oh, right. It’s not too far.” Melissa hummed, smiling softly. “Like I said, it’s just up the street out of your neighborhood.”
Lucas nodded a bit and continued walking. "Alright… tell me if I'm going the wrong direction."
“Will do, mister.” Melissa hummed, leaning over and kissing his cheek. “I haven’t asked you, how does it feel to be seventeen?”
"Mm. Not much different than being sixteen, to be honest." Lucas returned the kiss, smiling softly.
"Is it? Well, now I'm disappointed for when I turn seventeen." Melissa hummed with a little laugh. She knew things didn't change, she just typically asked someone after their birthday.
"Aww, don't be sad, Mel. I'm gonna make your birthday exciting as well, like you're doing for me. It'll still be fun, even if it doesn't really feel any different."
“Are you now? And how are you planning to do that?” Melissa hummed, looking up at him with a soft smile. “Secretly planning things, and subtly asking me what I’d like to do?”
"Mhmm~" Lucas kissed Melissa softly. "We can go wherever you want within reason. I obviously can't take you to Switzerland or anything." He laughed.
“Awww, but I wanted to go to Switzerland.” Melissa teased, nuzzling his cheek with her nose. “Mmm, but I guess being with you all day can suffice.”
"Am I not exciting enough for you?" Lucas asked, pouting playfully. "I'm just as exciting as Switzerland!"
“Mm, that’s true. You always keep me on the edge of my seat.” Melissa hummed, giving him a soft smile. “I really do love being around you.”
"I love being around you too, Mel…" Lucas gently tugged Melissa closer to himself so he could kiss her again.
Melissa smiled, leaning in and kissing him. “I love you…” She hummed softly. “I love you a lot.”
