"Oh? What're the consequences, hmm?" Lucas raised an eyebrow, still grinning as he began to lead Melissa through the trees.
"Oh? What're the consequences, hmm?" Lucas raised an eyebrow, still grinning as he began to lead Melissa through the trees.
“No kisses, for the rest of the day.” Melissa said flatly, trailing on after him. “Maybe no more cuddling either.”
Lucas gasped dramatically. "But you wouldn't be able to resist, Mel. You need it almost as much as I do."
“That’s why you need to be extra careful,” Melissa grinned, leaning up against him. “My life depends on it.”
"Ooh, blackmail. You're so mean to me." Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully and continued walking.
“Mm, yes I know, darling. I’m despicable.” Melissa chirped, kissing the tip of his nose. She had a soft smile up, swinging their arms back and forth as they walked.
Lucas pulled Melissa along through the trees until they reached the waterfall. "I won't try and climb it this time."
“I’m kind of glad. I don’t think I could see you fall again.” Melissa admitted lightly as she came to the edge of the surrounding water.
"Yeah.. " Lucas sighed softly and sat down beside the water. "Sorry about that." He laughed weakly.
“It’s fine, Lu. It’s not like you knew it would happen.” Melissa hummed, leaning over to play with his hair. “I kind of overreacted. I was just scared you had gotten really hurt.”
"You weren't overreacting, Mel. I fell off a cliff. It's natural for you to be worried." He smiled gently and leaned into Melissa's hand.
"True… though my freaking out wasn't helping you out, when you were falling. I'm guessing at least." Melissa shrugged a little, glancing at a wrist. "Could I braid your hair again?"
"Mm… if you want to, darling." Lucas smiled gently and shifted a bit closer to Melissa so it would be easier for her.
Melissa hummed lightly, pecking his cheek. "Thanks, love." Sitting up on her knees, she smiled lightly as she started running her fingers through his hair.
Lucas closed his eyes and relaxed as Melissa played with his hair, staying as still as possible for her.
Melissa kept her focus on twisting his shorter hair into a brad, humming lightly as she did so. "Mm… when we get a puppy, is there any specific names you like?"
"Hmm… I'm not sure. Do you have any ideas?" He asked softly, tilting his head down for Melissa.
Thinking for a minute, she glanced up at the cliff before feeling a little smile pull up. "Well, I remember mentioning something about the name Rocky at one point. But that was more for you."
Lucas flushed a bit and huffed. "M-Maybe… give the name to the dog instead of me, hmm?"
Melissa pouted a little, tying off the end of the braid with her spare hair-tie. "Fineee… I can always come up with worse nicknames for you."
"Please don't." Lucas laughed weakly, keeping his eyes closed. "I'm too dumb to respond to nicknames."
Sighing softly, she slumped down to rest her chin on his shoulder. "Alright, alright… but I'm keeping the ones I already use." Melissa hummed lightly, wrapping her arms around his waist.
"If you insist, Mel." Lucas kissed Melissa softly and pulled her close, humming contentedly to himself.
Melissa smiled lightly, adjusting her position so she was leaning up against him. "It's so pretty here…" She hummed a little.
"Mhmm." Lucas rested his head against Melissa's, sighing happily. "I love you~…" He purred softly.
"I love you too, Lucas." Melissa sang softly, tipping her head back to look at him. "More than I think I can put into words."
"Mmm… ditto." Lucas kissed Melissa's cheek and nuzzled against her affectionately. "I still can't believe you actually like me back."
"And I can't believe you like me back." Melissa smiled brightly, leaning into his nuzzling. "I was starting to worry you liked some other girl, before you told me."
Lucas laughed weakly. "Any girl in particular? I don't remember ever really showing interest in any girls other than you."
"Not really, actually. I never knew who, but I always assumed it was someone else." Melissa sighed softly. "That's why I was so shocked when you told me."
