Ellis bit his lip. "I'm sorry."
Ellis bit his lip. "I'm sorry."
Lloyd shrugged. "There's not much I can do about it, unfortunately…"
Ellis nodded a little. "Yeah."
Lloyd coughed a bit and sat up, trying to force himself to take deep breaths so he wouldn't have another coughing fit like before.
Ellis bit his lip, hoping the prince was alright.
Nathaniel looked up at Lloyd worriedly and quickly ran to get him some water.
Ellis shifted, unsure what to do..
When the coughing settled down a bit, Nathaniel helped Lloyd slide the oxygen mask down and held the water. Lloyd took a few sips of it before he started coughing again. He coughed into his elbow and grimaced, examining the blood he'd left behind.
Ellis bit his lip. "Can I help somehow?"
"I-I'm not sure-" Lloyd coughed again and drank more water, leaving some blood on the rim. He seemed to be growing weaker.
Ellis bit his lip again.
"Lloyd, you should really be resting… stop trying to talk." Nathaniel said weakly, trying to get Lloyd to lay back down.
Ellis nodded in agreement.
Lloyd allowed Nathaniel to push him down onto the bed. Nathaniel fitted Lloyd's oxygen mask back on his face and sighed softly.
Ellis took a deep breath, unsure what to do.
"I think he's okay…" Nathaniel said softly, holding onto Lloyd's hand to comfort him. "He's just been through a lot…"
Ellis nodded. "He better be."
Lloyd seemed to have passed out again by now and Nathaniel sighed. "He overworks himself… I wish he'd just give himself a break every once in a while."
Ellis nodded. "I'll try to help him with that."
Nathaniel nodded a bit. "I hope he'll settle down a bit now that he's dealt with the assassin."
"Hopefully…" Ellis said slowly.
"You'll try and convince him not to do anything stupid, right?"
"I'll try. I don't know if he'll listen." He replied softly.
"Yeah…" Nathaniel sighed and lay down beside Lloyd. "I just hate to see him hurt…"
Ellis nodded. "Me too."
"The fact that he's complaining at all about it worries me… usually he tries to pretend everything is fine and dandy."
He nodded again. "I know."
"Like, he was walking around on a broken leg. You remember that. And he never said one thing about how painful it must've been."
"Yeah." he confirmed. "He's got a large pain tolerance, I think."
"I'm not sure that's necessarily the case… he just doesn't wanna bother anybody. You can see it in his eyes. He's in a lot of pain."
