Being a fast reader isn't all that great either.

But being the kid of an insanely fast reader is pretty awesome.
(My mom can go through at least five books in a day if she has all her time to herself. Which is several series a week,
Basically its like this.
She give me a trilogy to read,
And by the time I finish the first, she's gone through one series and is looking for or in the middle of another.

You would think it's cool but we are robbed of the ability to enjoy the book for long periods of time. Sure we can read it again but you can never recreate the magic of reading a good book for the first time.

I'm reading it digitally but I get an email when my holds become available but apparently my dad looks at those emails to see what I'm reading and I placed the hold before I knew that. Haven't placed a hold on anything even slightly "inappropriate" since. Unfortunately I still have several on hold that I'm not removing because I've been on the lit for months
