"Vegetable." he guessed, sighing dramatically at his failure.
"Vegetable." he guessed, sighing dramatically at his failure.
“Maybe? I’m not entirely sure,” Elissa answered, thinking. “I definitely have never thought about it.”
"Hmm. Fruit?" He raised his eyebrows.
“I don’t think so,” Elissa rebutted, putting down yet another finger. “Those answers probably won’t make it very easy, sorry.”
"Nope." he replied. "Is it a plant, at least??"
“It comes from a plant,” Elissa explained, knowing that a yes or no here would only be more confusing.
"Alright…is it a flower?" he asked.
"No," Elissa said, leaning back against the wall.
He squinted at her for a moment.
“Keep asking questions,” Elissa prodded. She smirked. “Unless you give up already, of course.”
He sighed loudly. "Alright…is it something edible?"
“Yes, it is,” Elissa said, putting down another finger. Finally Fox was on the right track.
"Okay. Do you have to cook it before you eat it?" He said, looking at her.
“Nope,” Elissa responded.
"Hmm. Does it grow in bunches?"
Elissa giggled a bit at the thought. "Nope," she responded.
"Hmmm." he frowned, squinting.
"Do you give up?" Elissa teased.
"Yes." he replied, looking at ehr.
"Wait, really?" Elissa asked, blinking. She didn't think it would be that easy.
"Yes. I'm not good at this game." he replied, sighing softly.
“It was chocolate,” Elissa said triumphantly, a smug little grin on her face.
"What!" He groaned, shaking his head. "That's…you said…argh!"
Elissa laughed. "I answered your questions as well as I could. Chocolate comes from the cacao bean, and I'm honestly not sure whether that's considered a vegetable or not."
He groaned. "Ugghh." He shook his head slightly.
Elissa laughed again. “Do you want to go now?” she asked, looking out the cell window for anything new as she said it.
He sighed. "I… guess." He replied slowly. "Lemme think of something."
"Okay, let me know when you've got something," Elissa responded, settling back against the wall.
He nodded. "Got it." he replied, looking over at her.
“Is it a living thing?” Elissa asked, her go to first question.
