"Love you too~" Melissa hummed, glancing back at him with a smile. "And I promise I always will. No matter the situation."
"Love you too~" Melissa hummed, glancing back at him with a smile. "And I promise I always will. No matter the situation."
"I promise the same, darling." Lucas picked up the pace a bit so that he was walking beside Melissa.
Melissa gave his hand a gentle squeeze, leaning over so she could rest her head on his shoulder. "I couldn't imagine anything different."
Lucas gently kissed Melissa's cheek and kept walking. "Me either. Now, is there anywhere in particular you want to go?"
"No, not really." Melissa mumbled, glancing around their surroundings. "Though we should go get ice cream some time."
"Mm. Sounds good to me. Would you let me pay for once?" Lucas asked with a cheeky grin.
"Unless it was a date, probably not." Melissa said pretty flatly, looking up to him with a smirk. "Keep that in mind."
"Let's call it a date then, darling. Unless we're talking about it around your parents." Lucas matched her smirk.
“Mmm, that wouldn’t make it a date then. That’s just called awkward.” Melissa hummed, lifting her head so she could kiss his cheek.
"How is it not a date?" Lucas asked, his expression changing to a confused one.
Melissa paused, thinking back to what he had said. “Wait- you said talking about it.” She notes out loud, laughing lightly. “I thought you said had a date with my parents.”
"No, no." Lucas laughed. "I don't wanna go on a date with your parents. I just wanna go on a date with you."
“Mm, good. Next thing I know, you’d be taking my brother on a date.” Melissa joked with him, gently pushing on his arm.
"Noooooo!" Lucas laughed and buried his face in Melissa's shoulder. "I definitely don't wanna date your brother."
Melissa laughed lightly, petting the top of his head with a smile. “Alright, Don’t freak out on me.” She hummed, kissing the top of his head.
Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully and kissed her cheek. "I'll be fine, Mel. As long as I don't have to date your family members."
“I don’t want you to date my family members. That would just be so awkward.” Melissa laughed, nosing his cheek softly.
"It would indeed. And I really only like you, to be honest. Well, your dad's nice and all, but definitely not my type." Lucas snickered.
"You're not into the married type?" Melissa asked still laughing a bit from before. "I just don't understand. I guess I'll have to break the news to him."
"Not particularly, no." Lucas laughed softly. "And, you know… not particularly into men. Especially since there's such an age gap, you know?"
"That's all true… it's a good thing too. Otherwise I'd be rather disappointed and embarrassed when I eventually told you how I felt." Melissa hummed, smiling softly.
"'Oh, sorry, I'm more into your dad'." Lucas snickered, tightening his grip on Melissa a little bit.
“I don’t think I could have processed that.” Melissa laughed, nuzzling against his cheek with a smile.
"It would be pretty strange." Lucas kissed Melissa's nose and hugged her tightly.
Melissa squished her face up before burying her face into his shoulder. “That tickles.” Melissa whined, holding on to him just as tightly.
Lucas smirked and pressed gentle kisses to Melissa's cheeks, forehead, and ears. "You like it, though~"
“I doooooo, but it ticklesssss.” Melissa continued to whine, attempting to keep from laughing. But that wasn’t going to well.
Lucas grinned and continued, holding Melissa close, but not so tight that she couldn't pull away if she wanted to.
She didn't pull away, only pulled her face back from his kisses. "I'm can't decide… I want you to keep kissing me, but we need to keep going." Melissa pouted, letting out an exasperated sigh.
Lucas pouted as well. "Alright, alright… I'll stop. We should get going. But we'll continue later right?"
