“That would be lovely… maybe we could go after baseball.” Melissa hummed, pecking his cheek with a bright smile.
“That would be lovely… maybe we could go after baseball.” Melissa hummed, pecking his cheek with a bright smile.
"Sounds good to me." Lucas matched her smile and returned the kisses before pulling her out of the forest. "But for now, we'll head back to the house."
“Yup, sounds like a good plan. Did you want to order pizza for lunch, or just do sandwiches like usual?” Melissa asked, watching her step as they came out of the woods.
"If your parents are alright with us ordering pizza, that sounds good to me." He smiled softly. "But I'm honestly okay with anything."
"If you're sure, then I might save pizza for dinner tonight." Melissa hummed, holding on to him tightly. "I might actually be tempted to eat it then."
Lucas nodded. "Alrighty." He kissed her softly. "You will eat something for lunch, though. Right?" He asked.
"Something, yes. Believe it or not, I'm a little hungry." Melissa told him with a soft smile. "And I know if I don't eat, you probably wouldn't."
"You are correct, darling." Lucas grinned and kissed Melissaa again. "That does sound rather like me."
"If someone refused to go inside before you, you'd probably sit out by the door until they went inside. It's just who you are… or at least who I think you are." Melissa responded, booping the tip of his nose with her index finger.
Lucas stuck his tongue out playfully. "Just trying to be polite, darling." He hummed softly, blushing a bit when she touched his nose.
Copying his example, she stuck her tongue out at him. "Which you are. But sometimes you're too stubborn for my own good."
"Perhaps so, but someone's gotta be able to counter you, hmm?" He booped her nose in reply. "We can't have only one of us being stubborn, can we?"
Scrunching up her nose, she pulled back just a bit. "Mmm… I mean, as long as it's me." She teased, leaning back in to place a kiss on his lips.
"Nah ah, I've been a pushover for too much of my life, darling. It's made me more stubborn than ever." He returned the kiss and hummed a bit more.
Pouting with a playful tone, she huffed out a sigh. "That's not fair… I don't know why it's not fair, but it isn't." Melissa insisted with a nod.
"If you say so. I don't plan on being a doormat any longer, though. That is one positive thing I learned from Claus."
"I guess that's a good thing… but I still don't think it's fair." Melissa hummed sighing softly. "But I can get over it."
"Well, you're gonna have to, darling." Lucas smiled softly and gently kissed her cheek. "I'm sticking around."
"It's a good thing. Because I really need you in my life." She told him, leaning in to the kiss just the slightest bit.
"I need you as well, Melissa. God knows where I'd be without you. Now, we really do need to head back, hmm?"
"I could take a guess… but I don't really want to be depressed right now." Melissa told him, pulling him along so they could get back to her house. "And you're right."
"Let's not think about that for now. Let's think about… uh… food!" Lucas picked up the pace a bit.
"Food? Why food?" Melissa asked with a raised brow at the odd suggestion. "If this is some ploy, then I'd stop right there, mister."
"I don't know, I just didn't have any ideas and we're about to eat, so… food." Lucas grinned sheepishly. "I'm not very creative on the spot."
"Well, what's your favorite then?" Melissa asked, pulling ahead of him so she could lead them on.
"Favorite food?" He asked, thinking for a few seconds. "Um… omelettes, I think. My mom used to make really good ones. You?"
"As a desert, anything with chocolate and peanut butter. As legitimate food, I don't really know." Melissa shrugged as she finished her response.
Lucas nodded. "I'm not sure what I'd pick for desserts. I'm not too familiar with sweet things other than you, to be honest."
"Lu!" Melissa laughed, her face growing red. "You're smoother then you take credit for, sir." She insisted, as she turned her head back to look at him.
Lucas grinned cheekily, blushing a bit as well. "Yeah, yeah… but in all seriousness, I'm really not too familiar with desserts."
