"With Chakuro?"

August nodded slowly, thinking over what to say. “I am.. not used to sharing her,” he said, a weak smile on his face.

Than she ran home and waited for the time to pass bye[sorry if this is bad just joined don't really know what this is about

She smiled softly, then noticed he seemed to be struggling a bit with talking. "Can you teach me sign language?"

Before Charlie could say anything, a maid took her hand, leading her towards a intricately carved vanity. The maid plopped her down, already looking down at her critically.

"Olive green eyes, tanner skin. . . a little Italian, correct?" The woman said quickly as she looked over her brushes, not even pausing to let Charlie answer. "The hair needs work though, perhaps some more curls at the bottom?"

She looked up at the maid, unsure of what to say. "Uh, sure. . .?"

"Good, then we'll just get you a dress then!" The maid piped up excitedly, already looking through the closet next to her.

Genie was pulled into the room, the maid scowled.

"This one needs some works!"

August seemed to brighten a tad at that, nodding quickly. “Yes!” He exclaimed.

A dozen maids pulled Chakuro into the bathroom, "Shower?"
"I can shower by myself." he pushed them away, and placed covers on his wings. They took forever to dry. After a long, clean shower, Chakuro was ushered into a room, where a robe was waiting, with holes cut into the back for wings. He immediately became starry-eyed, "For me?"

She hopped off the tree. "They might be expecting you soon, but maybe we could start with the basics right now?"

August nodded, but frowned softly. “The ball?”

The maid ushered Charlie towards one of the closets, showing her dozens of dresses. Her gaze finally settled on a red one with roses on the top that trailed towards the waist.

"That one." She finally said, touching the silky fabric of the dress. She had never been allowed to wear something so beautiful. After about ten minutes, Charlie was wearing the dress and the maid had started on her hair.

Chakuro put on the robe reluctantly, though it had pretty cool wing holes and watched them try to fit a crown onto his head without disturbing his horns.

"In a few hours. They don't like to start it until it gets all dark, for some reason."

August shook his head quickly. “Don’t want to go,” he said, but he signed out the words as he said them. “Can’t hear the music, difficult to read many lips.” He quickly went away from the topic, sitting down as he began to teach Noa a few basic sign language movements.

Since the maids had finished, Charlie got up and walked down the halls of the castle, looking at the all the paintings on the walls. She played around with her illusions absentmindedly, making small roses in the palm of her hands.

The maids shoved her into a closet full of dress she refused to pick any of them so the maid picked one for her. It was a simple red and gold chiffon dress with a long ruffle down one side and a single sleeve on the other side that went all the way down to around her left hand. They forced it on her to Genie's dismayed the dress was apparently very form fitting.

They forced in a chair to style her hair and put make up on her.

"I think you might be required to go," she said as she watching him sign. "That's when they give us their whole explanation on what we're doing too."

Charlie continued to wander the halls, lifting up the hem of her dress so she wouldn't trip. There were paintings of different monarchies, up until this generations; the Almontes. Each of them had silky blond hair and bright blue eyes. Perfect features. Perfect poise. Perfect everything. She hadn't even realized that she had paused at this picture.

The monarchies had so many portraits painted of them. Probably conceited, Chakuro thought, sticking his tongue out at the paintings. They looked nothing like him, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He had crazy rainbow hair and piercings and green eyes that had flecks of gold. I'm the wild monarch, Chakuro supposed, every kingdom has had one before. They were so perfect, it made him want to graffiti mustaches on them. Maybe if he could find some paint…
