//then yes
(Wait @ImNotCrazyImAFangirl did you see my response earlier)
//yeah, but I didn’t really know where to go from there so I was like “okaupy I’ll just wait until the ball?” sry for not telling u
"Aita? What were they like?" Charlie asked, sensing unease from Chakuro.
(She has this like sense of feeling fear and stuff for her illusions. Just a heads up xD )
( Oh yeah, we need to do the ball soon. August and Noa just need to get ready )
"He had white hair and white eyes. And he would joke about how I stole all of his color, but he was all the color of my world." Chakuro's tone was soft and he touched down onto the ground, letting go of Charlie.
(Alright, its all good!)
"He was your best friend?" Charlie asked. Chakuro seemed to love him so much. Maybe a sibling. . .
(I don't really know where Gabby is so lets just say she got dressed for the ball…)
"Best friend." Chakuro nodded, sighing.
"What happened to him. . .?" Charlie asked gently. "You don't need to answer if you don't want to."
"I don't want to answer."
Genie saw Gabby, "Hey!"
When they got to the castle, three maids swarmed them. “Princess Noa! Sir August - the servants are waiting, you both need to get ready for the ball!” One scolded. Now nodded, smiling a little sheepishly and turned to August.
“I guess I’ll see you later?”
Gabby waved to her sister, twirling to show off the dress she had changed into. It wasn't much, but it was the best thing she had. She was wearing a solid blue dress that went down to knees. A small white band was wrapped around her waist.
August had no idea what the maids were saying, but he managed to read Noa’s lips. He nodded and signed ‘Yes’ before being led away by a maid.
(Idkwtd, my char is nowhere, knows no one and my twin ain't here!!)
"You look great Gabby!" Genie smiled at her.
She grinned. "Thank you. You do too."
"Aww, thank you!"
//and now we wait
Gabby chuckled. "Where is this ball?"
Charlie nodded and looked at all the nobles rushing around. They looked so beautiful. She looked down at her own dress. It was lovely, but she didn't look anything like the noble ladies.
"I think it's going to start soon. . " She finally said.
"Wonderful," Genie looked at her own dress a bit more conscious of how she looked.
"Yeah, me too." Chakuro smiled at her. "Save me a dance?" and he flew away, black wings beating at the air.
Charlie laughed, crossing her arms over her chest as she watched Chakuro fly away. She looked around, trying to spot August. Hopefully Noa had found him.
Eventually, August was ready for the ball. He stood in front of a mirror, looking at his appearance. He was dressed in a nicer, simple black suit. He had managed to say he didn’t want anything too flashy. Random people trying to talk to him tended to be awkward, as they were unaware of him being deaf. He adjusted the black mask, traces of silver coating it. It slightly blocked his vision, and he wasn’t that fond of that.
A maid found Charlie, scolding her for not staying with them. They led her towards the room again, putting her hair up in an bun that was elaborately braided in the back. A few strands of curled hair were left out, framing the rose embroidered mask on her face. Charlie fidgeted in her seat, wondering where August was.
August’s eyes shifted to his hair. The maids hand somehow managed to fix his usually wild hair so it was partly slicked back. He gave a hum, feeling his throat as he did so to feel teh vibrations in his throat. It was probably the closest he would ever get to hearing a voice.
Gabriela took a ribbon and tied her hair into an adequate braid, feeling that it would make her seem more 'elegant'. She rubbed her cheek, aware that she didn't have a mask to wear.
