He smiled a little. "Yikes."
He smiled a little. "Yikes."
”Yeah. My back hates it when I do that.” she laughed a little.
He chuckled. "I bet it does."
“Have you ever done that?” she asked. ”Just collapse, dead asleep, because of exhaustion?”
"Yeah, I have."
”What’s the most random place that that's happened to you?” she asked innocently.
He thought for a moment. "The table."
She smirked a little. ”I guess that must be a pretty normal place to pass out then.”
"Yeah. Just when I'm really tired, though."
”Mhm.” she nodded. ”Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night and drive over to my den to work on something. If it weren't for Sparky’s wake up calls, I think Sophie would get the wrong idea.” she chuckled.
He laughed a little bit, shkaing his head. "Ah, I see."
”You’ve met her. You know what she's like.” she said, gesturing at the outfit she was currently wearing.
He laughed again, nodding. "I do."
She laughed a little with him. ”Then you can understand my problem.”
He smiled. "Yeah, I think I do."
”Good.” she smiled, kissing his cheek. ”I’d hate to actually explain it. I should probably find out what she packed for me to wear today.” she sighed already blushing in embarrassment.
He smiled, laughing a little. "Hmm, probably something more for my enjoyment than yours."
”Probably.” she agreed, her blush growing.
He smirked a little, laughing.
She rolled her eyes at him and headed upstairs to get changed.
He watched her go, chuckling to himself.
Once she made it to the guestroom, she looked at the bag apprehensively. Please be something decent…
Killian cleaned up downstairs while he waited.
”I hate her.” Jade muttered as she reluctantly put on the dark blue, white striped romper that revealed about the same amount of skin that the pajamas did.
Killian kept tidying up, humming to himself.
Jade walked back into the living room, her face red in embarrassment and annoyance.
Killian looked up, laughing a little bit.
”Yeah, yeah. Go ahead and laugh. I already feel ridiculous.” Jade scoffed, crossing her arms.
He let out a breath. "Sorry, Jade."
”It’s fine.” she sighed. ”Do you have a laundry room? I’m not giving her the satisfaction of seeing me in this.”
