"Not that I've found. But if I was doing any kind of adventuring hunting, monster, ghost, or treasure, I wanted to do it with you." Melissa insisted as they continued on.
"Not that I've found. But if I was doing any kind of adventuring hunting, monster, ghost, or treasure, I wanted to do it with you." Melissa insisted as they continued on.
"Ah. Thank you. I would love to get murdered by ghosts." Lucas laughed, letting Melissa pull him along.
"Mmm, you wouldn't though. If a ghost murdered you, they would just be stuck with your ghost afterwards." Melissa pointed out, watching her steps as they went.
"True. Perhaps by monsters, then. Hmm?" Lucas stayed in step with Melissa, humming softly to himself and seeming to be in better spirits now that he'd slept.
Melissa laughed lightly, hearing the soft sound of the water fall. "Works for me. As long as it isn't Vampires." She mumbled. "I don't want to be a Bella."
"Please don't." Lucas laughed. "I don't want to be a… um… I'm not too familiar with Twilight. I don't wanna be a vampire. I don't get enough sleep as is."
"Gosh… neither am I. I believe his name is Edward, though." Melissa hummed, laughing a little bit at his end comment. "But as a Vampire, you don't have to go out in the day. You'd be sleeping."
"True, true." Lucas smiled softly and looked around at the forest around him. "Are we almost there, Melissa?"
"Mhmm, it's right up here." She directed him, finding it odd that he used her full name. It just wasn't normal to her. "It's hard to find, because it's hidden behind bushes along the side of the cliff side."
Lucas nodded and glanced at the cliff face. "I think I can see it… we'll have to climb a bit, though."
Turning to where he was facing, she nodded a bit. "If you're alright with that. I climbed up earlier." Melissa told him, glancing at their hands with a small smile.
"I'm perfectly fine with climbing." Lucas returned the smile and started heading towards the small cavern.
"Great! It's gladly not too much of a climb, otherwise you know I wouldn't have done it." Melissa hummed, fixing her hair up tight before stepping up to the cliff side.
"Mhmm." Lucas hoisted himself up and scaled the cliff pretty easily. Once he was inside the cavern, he held out his hand for Melissa.
Taking his hand, she started to pull herself up. Coming up to the edge, she pulled herself over with a sweet smile. "That's a lot more fun, when you're not terrified you're going to fall."
"Yeah." Lucas laughed breathlessly and glanced around the cavern. "Time to check for bears, hmm?"
"You really think bears could get up here?" Melissa asked, brushing herself off before starting on through the cave.
Lucas shrugged. "Bears are tall." He took Melissa's hand and walked further into the cavern with her.
"True, but can they lift their body weight up?" Melissa hummed, mostly to herself as they continued on. "Anyways, I'm more concerned about spider then bears. I know for sure those things could be up here."
"Bears climb trees all the time. But yes, spiders. They don't bother me too much… I'm used to them." Lucas peered into the dark.
Melissa furrowed her brow, feeling shudders run up her spine. "Used to them? How so?"
Lucas shrugged. "There were a fair few of them in my house. I had to get used to it. It's no big deal."
"Maybe it's a good thing you never let me come over…" Melissa muttered, hating to think of the little creatures. The look of discomfort on her face, was rather inevitable.
"You'd be alright… they mostly come around at night when I'm sleeping. I think they're scared of people." Lucas shrugged.
“I can’t express to you, how nervous that makes me to go to sleep tonight.” Melissa muttered, using her free arm to wrap around herself protectively. “I hate spiders, with a passion you would not believe I could muster up.” Melissa insisted, still feeling like there was about to be a bunch up here any second. “They’re creepy, and just-“ Shuddering a bit to further explain her point, she glanced over at him.
Lucas kissed her cheek softly. "Don't worry, Mel. I won't let the spiders get you. Most of them are harmless, anyway."
Humming softly, she leaned her head on his shoulder in attempt to relax. "I'll have to trust you."
"Mhmm." Lucas kissed Melissa and kept walking, pulling out his phone to serve as their flashlight.
Glancing around the dimly lit cavern, she smiled softly. "Besides the chance of spiders, this would be a cool place to spend the night." Melissa hummed weakly.
"Yeah, pretty cool. And quiet." Lucas hummed thoughtfully as he looked around. "The rock would be kinda uncomfortable to sleep on, though."
