"Mmmm… might be a good idea…" Lucas yawned a bit and rubbed at his eyes again. "What do you have?"
"Mmmm… might be a good idea…" Lucas yawned a bit and rubbed at his eyes again. "What do you have?"
"Root Beer… Fanta… I'm not sure if we have anything else. Those are the favorites, here." Melissa shrugged lightly, as if not to disturb him.
Lucas nodded a bit. "Pretty much anything is fine with me… I didn't think Fanta had caffeine, though…"
"Maybe it doesn't… I'm not sure actually." Melissa mumbled, knowing they had to get up eventually. She really, really didn't want to though.
"Mmmm… pretty sure root beer does… might be our best bet… but later." Lucas shifted again to be more comfortable.
Seeming to relax just a bit, Melissa smiled brightly as she sunk in to the couch. "That works for me… this is too nice to let go quite yet. I rarely get cuddled with." She hummed, holding on to him a little tighter.
(I'm gonna head out for the night. Night~)
(Night!)
"I imagine… wish it were under better circumstances, mm?" Lucas relaxed a little, glad to just be held and feel safe for once.
"Mm… yeah. But I'm alright with this." Melissa ensured him, softly kissing the top of his head a few times. "It doesn't matter, the reason."
Lucas nodded, flushing a little at the attention. "Yeah… it… it's nice. I never thought I'd like something like this. I don't normally like being touched."
"It's because I'm special." Melissa teased a bit, before falling quiet next to him. Sliding down into the couch, she cuddled up closer to him with a soft smile.
"Mhmm…" Lucas just quietly let Melissa keep petting him, his shaking gradually subsiding as he relaxed.
"Are you starting to feel any better? Mental wise, I mean." She asked softly, stretching her legs out over his lap.
"A little bit, yeah… still a little out of it and stressed, to be honest, but like… I can actually hear and understand you now…"
Smiling weakly, Melissa sighed as she held on to his hand tightly. "That's progress at least. And we can still go out if you're up for it, to the park."
Lucas nodded a bit. "Mm… should probably tell your parents where we're going, though. Wouldn't want them to worry."
"Yeah… I'll go wake them up before we go. I need to get dressed first, though." Melissa hummed, yawning just a bit.
"Mmkay… I should probably do that too." Lucas yawned again as well and glanced around to find his bag on the floor.
Pouting just a bit, she pushed back so he could get up. "I'll make you breakfast first." Melissa hummed, swinging her legs off the couch so she could stand.
Lucas sighed softly and nodded. "I'll go change while you're doing that, then." He grabbed his bag and left the room.
"Works by me." Getting up fully herself, she made her way to the kitchen to work on something for them to eat.
Lucas found himself in the bathroom for a lot longer than he expected. He changed and then just stared at the scars on his arms, zoning out for quite a long time. He started scratching at them at some point subconsciously, but realized what he was doing when he began to bleed. His heart fluttered and froze as he stared at what he'd done. "…Mel?"
Melissa heard his voice, dropping what she was doing as she quickly made her way to the bathroom. "What is it, Lu? Is everything alright?" She asked softly, trying to stay calm. He probably just needed something, there was nothing to worry about.
"I did something kinda bad…" Lucas opened the door and looked at Melissa sheepishly while thin trails of blood trickled down his forearms.
A sick feeling grew in her stomach, as she looked up to him. "W-what did you do? Are you alright?" Melissa asked softly, taking his hand to take a look at his arm.
"Um… I kinda zoned out… I don't think I found anything sharp, I'm pretty sure I was just scratching at the old wounds…" Lucas sighed and closed his eyes, feeling guilty.
"Lu…." Melissa sighed weakly, cupping his cheek in her hand. "I even thought about making sure you were alright… I should have come with you." Whispered, she pulled back just a bit. "Does it hurt?"
"I… um… a little bit, yeah…" Lucas replied weakly. "It's not too bad, really, I… I'm sorry…" He sighed and leaned into Melissa's hand.
"Don't be sorry… I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you alone." Melissa sighed weakly, leaning forward to peck his lips.
"Well, I can't exactly bring you in here while I'm changing… don't blame yourself, Mel." Lucas returned the kiss and glanced down at his arms. "Um… do you happen to have any more of those bandages?"
Nodding just a bit, she led him back in to the bathroom. "Come on, let's get you fixed up." She whispered, tucking her hair back behind her ear. "Sit down, so I can do that."
