Evelyn let out a soft chuckle when she felt Zeke’s arms around her. He was being more open, right? Hopefully. Probably means she did something right.
”The Heroes’ Ranking event is today so I better get prepared… but!!” she laid down atop Zeke’s body.
”Just a bit longer,” her chaotically positive energy was seriously overwhelming at this point. Today was going to be a bit ridiculous, she could feel it. She had to wear her usual ‘Pastel’ clothes outside which would more than likely attract the attention of many. But still, it’s not like she would leave Zeke’s side— well, until it’s time to get on stage and what not.

Zeke let out a light, somewhat nervous chuckle and cleared his throat awkwardly. Had he ever hugged a girl this long before? He wasn't sure. But he did know that he'd never met a girl that made him feel this unhinged. He hated being so unwound by her, but yet… her presence was addictive.
What a weird position to be stuck in.
"So— um— are you excited about the Hero Ranking… thing?" he asked finally, unsure of what else to say. He needed to distract himself from his wandering thoughts somehow, after all.

”Very. I’m curious as to who’s going to get, you know, first place,” She mentioned, nuzzling against his chest with a bright smile. She laughed softly when she felt his hand on her body, looking up at her. ”Kiss me?” She asked with a small and light chuckle.

"O–oh—" Zeke smiled faintly, his face growing warm again. Honestly, though, when wasn't it on fire when Evelyn was around? She was the only person to ever undo him like this. To make his heart constrict and his stomach tie into a knot— but in the best of ways. He swallowed, cleared his throat, let her words bounce around in his head for a short moment. Good grief, was he an idiot for letting himself fall like this— but he couldn't stop. "Okay."

He gently pressed his lips against hers, and, even though this wasn't the first time they'd kissed, it still seemed to Zeke like time stopped for a moment.

But he'd probably never be eloquent enough (or bold enough) to say such a thing aloud.

The heroine had reciprocated the kiss for a long moment, kissing Zeke passionately before she sat up with her body atop him. She smiled down at the man, her hair falling down to block her face slightly before she pushed them back behind her ears. ”I’ll go get prepared now. Breakfast is on the table, alright?” She grinned, leaning down to gently kiss the man’s forehead before she stood up beside the bed from the position she was in. She headed to the bedroom door and turned to Zeke one last time with a wink before she left. ”Don’t let me catch you peeking, alright~?” Obviously, she was joking. She liked teasing the man like that.
