Nyx looked up at him. "Can we?" He asked excitedly. "I'd…I'd love to, if…if I'm allowed?" He bit his lip a little bit.

"Of course," Jude said, his eyebrows faintly pulling together, "–Of course you're allowed. Naturally, we gotta figure out some things, for our…safety and stuff, but yeah."

Nyx nodded a little bit, excited and happy. "Yay! Thank you, Jude!" He put Macy down in order to throw his arms around his boyfriend, smiling.

Jude raised his eyebrows at the sudden hug, though softened his shoulders and lightly laughed as he returned the hug. "You're…welcome," He smiled, winding his arms around Nyx's waist.

Nyx leaned into Jude happily, kissing his cheek. "Thank you for everything." he said softly, closing his eyes.

Jude smiled warmly, leaning comfortably into the couch cushion as he held Nyx. "You don't need to thank me for…all this," He said, "You know I'm just trying to make things right– make you happy and all that. And that makes me happy."

Nyx looked up at him for a moment, shy and quiet for a long moment. "I…" he didn't quite know what to say. "If it weren't for you, I'd still be asleep."

(good afternoon!!for when you see this! it's hard for me to be active enough round these times–but im tryin!! :)

Jude let out a sigh, nodding faintly as he looked at him. "I know," He said, biting his lip for a moment as he was reminded of the secret uncovered within his father's company, "But you deserve to see everything, and…I dunno. I don't feel like I'm doing some…amazing thing."

(hey! It's fine if you can't be as active as you used to be, i understand! :)

Nyx hummed for a moment. "Well, you are." he replied, kissing Jude's cheek and smiling at him. "Because I…nobody else ever tried to show me anything."

Jude looked to the side a little shyly. "Well– yeah. But that doesn't make me special or anything," He said, smiling as he ran a hand through Nyx's hair, "You don't gotta look at me like I'm your whole world, I'm just your boyfriend or whatever."

Nyx hid his face shyly. "But– I don't really know anyone else, and– and I can't decide how i look at you, that's just how it is!" he replied.

Jude nodded, cupping Nyx's face and giggling as he pressed a few kisses onto his cheek. "You'll meet more people, for sure," He said, smiling as he thought of how his friends would react to meeting Nyx, "But the way you look at me sometimes– I feel like I don't really deserve it."

Nyx thought for a moment. "But why wouldn't you?" he asked, raising his eyebrows curiously at Jude.

Jude lightly shrugged, smiling softy. "I don't know," He said with honesty, trying to piece together something understandable for how he felt, "I just don't think I deserve to feel happy over this."

Nyx frowned. "But…why not?" He asked, not understanding. "Why wouldn't you deserve to be happy?"

What a question. Jude hesitated, holding back his simple answer of 'I don't know.' He sighed, letting his gaze drift to somewhere other than Nyx's face. "Maybe…because that's just the way I am. I don't know– The feeling is just…there."

Nyx frowned. "But…" He still didn't quite understand. "But that doesn't make sense. Of course you deserve to be happy, Jude."

"I mean, yeah– I know that," Jude said with a soft laugh, running a hand through his hair and watching Macy wander around his living room, "–Just doesn't feel like that, sometimes. Could be the reason I've stayed with so many shitty boyfriends 'n all. But it doesn't really bother me, I guess."

Nyx shook his head a little bit. "No, that…I don't…" He frowned again, not sure what to say, how to phrase his words.

"Hey, it's fine," Jude said, smiling softly and meeting Nyx's eyes. Is it fine? "Don't worry about it. It's just a thing."

"But it doesn't make sense." Nyx replied, shaking his head a little bit. "I…"

Jude remembered Nyx's headache and let out a breath. "Hey, I don't wanna confuse or overwhelm you right now," He said with a weak smile, "Just forget it, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about."

Nyx narrowed his eyes a little. "Hm.aube you don't." He agreed grumpily, kissing Jude's cheek softly.

Jude let out a soft laugh, smiling as he wrapped his arms around Nyx's waist, "Yeah, maybe."

Nyx smiled happily, kissing Jude's cheek again. "Thank you for everything." he said contentedly.

"Mhh, you're welcome," Jude mumbled a little shyly, smiling at the affection, "It's not a big deal, but–" He lightly shrugged.

Nyx shrugged. "It's a big deal for me." He replied, snuggling closer to Jude with a smile.

Jude softly nodded, "I guess it is," He said, smiling as he sighed, "And though it wasn't a 'big deal' for me– it was still a pretty life-changing thing; to find you in that pod."

Nyx shrugged a little bit. "Well, yeah, but…but still." He replied, looking at Jude. "You've changed…my entire life."

Jude nodded, only partially processing his words. "Hm," He sounded, thoughtfully biting his lip, "I mean…I guess I did? I don't wanna make it sound bad– cause it did change your life –but I wasn't even supposed to be in there."
