He shifted on the couch.
He shifted on the couch.
”Just have to hope she doesn't bring over something embarrassing.” she said mostly to herself as she sent the message.
He looked at her, raising his eyebrows a little.
She looked over at him, realizing she said that aloud. ”Let’s just say that me and Sophie have different definitions of ”modest” clothing.” she explained with a faint blush.
He smirked a little, laughing. "I see."
”Glad you haven't lost your sense of humor while you're sick.” she smirked back briefly.
He stuck his tongue out.
She chuckled and stuck her tongue out in reply.
He smiled at her.
She smiled back, still laughing a little.
He closed his eyes for a moment.
She sighed, relaxing since there was a bit more of a plan.
He ran his hands through his hair tiredly.
Jade leaned back comfortably in her chair. Depending on the traffic, it would probably take Sophie 15-30 minutes to arrive… assuming she caught a taxi once she walked out of the building.
He took a deep breath, closing his eyes.
She sighed a little, wondering if he would mind her using the guest room instead of the couch this time… And his room was off-limits while he was sick.
He shifted a little bit, sighing faintly.
She picked up the remote and flipped over to check the news. She didn't get any alerts on her phone or through her helmet, so she hoped that was a good thing.
Killian was starting to fall asleep again.
Jade glanced over and smiled as she noticed how tired he was.
He was curled on the couch, his head leaning on the armrest.
She smiled a little and got up, straightening out his blanket so he would be more comfortable and quietly pulled out her phone.
He kept sleeping quietly.
She had just been planning to ask Sophie to keep quiet when she arrived since she didn't want to wake him up, but somehow she found herself pulling up the camera app and snapped a quick picture.
Killian didn't wake up, still sleeping.
Jade was relieved when he didn't react to her actions and sat back down, waiting for Sophie to drop off some spare clothes. He looks so cute when he's asleep. she smiled to herself.
Killian looked younger when he was asleep, the tension that always seemed to be laying under the surface erased by sleep.
She let out a very soft sigh, wishing she could help him more. She knew he wouldn't tell her his past and the documents she had access to would only tell her so much… but she couldn't bring herself to read more of those files, not yet anyway.
He didn't tell her much because he didn't want to burden her with it; he knew that she would feel like she had to do something about it, and he didn't want that.
The fact that she didn't know what to do for him, short of signing him up for therapy, was almost maddening. But she did her best to respect his privacy…
